Mary-Kate, why must you play with my emotions so? Another night in London, another fashion party and yesterday evening it was the Calvin Klein Spring/Summer 08 soirée. Naomi Watts looked perfect for the event in her LBD (made infinitely more awesome with those pockets). And those Backstreet Boys are really work work working on that comeback, one red carpet at a time. Back to MK for a second though, someday she will brush her hair, maybe not wear something so drapey and everything will be amazing, right? A girl can dream, I suppose.
Just like that, Angelina is on the set of her new movie, The Changeling in Long Beach, CA. Not a lot of downtime with the Jolie-Pitts, eh? She flashed a big smile on set as her director Clint Eastwood (and his trusty parrot?) watched on. The movie is based on a true story, about a woman whose son is abducted and when the cops return him to her, she is convinced it's a different kid. Angie looks natural in her roaring '20s garb, especially since she's really been working the Old Hollywood vibe recently. Who knows how long the J-Ps will be around in LA, but award season is already proving to have a draw for the accomplished (and well reviewed in 2007) couple. The Santa Barbara International Film Festival announced that Angelina would be receiving this year's Outstanding Performance of the Year Award for A Mighty Heart. I have a feeling this won't be the only congrats we hand to the Jolie-Pitts this season.
Elle celebrated its Women in Hollywood issue with a big party in LA last night. Scarlett, the issue's cover girl, stood out in her black dress and blue accents. Are you loving her look, or is her blonde on blonde too much? Kate, Jennifer and Amy Adams were also among the issue's honored Women of Hollywood — and were all stunning at last night's party. Especially loving Jennifer's little pocketed tunic dress. Jessica looked flirty and sexy in her zip up dress, while Alyson's was a little too severe. Ali looks to have shocked onlookers in her plaid (yes, plaid) dress. Hey, only one more week until Kristen Bell's premiere on Heroes! All I gotta say is Topher and Emile were two very, very lucky guys to be at a party with all these gorgeous (and smart and funny and accomplished) ladies.
To see a ton of pictures from the party including Amber Tamblyn, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Emile Hirsch, Emilie de Ravin, Ali Larter, Maggie Grace and all the women above just read more
Britney Spears was in a great mood yesterday in her favorite pink wig at a gas station in Malibu. For the most part it was a usual day of driving, coffee and bailing on casting calls. This time the hopeful dancers at Millennium Dance Studio were able to audition but they did not get to meet Ms Brit. She skipped out on the event however, in a smarter move, Britney turned herself in to get her picture, fingerprints and other information taken as a result of the charges against her for the hit and run from September. Apparently she was at the police station for 45 minutes and her papers say she's a healthy 5'5" and 125 pounds. Another step closer to growing up. Now if only Britney could ditch the wig.
The Sex and the City movie is done filming already? The cast was seen giving each other their goodbyes after supposedly filming their last scene in NYC on Friday. Though, knowing how much they like to mess with us, for all we know they're just getting started. Feels like just yesterday we were reacquainting ourselves with Carrie and Big. This movie is definitely something to get excited for in the Spring, but SJP's got another big project in the works. She is teaming up with Amy Sherman-Palladino (of Gilmore Girls) to star in an adaptation of The Late Bloomer's Revolution. So...up next can she reprise her role in Girls Just Wanna Have Fun? Just a thought.
In this week's Gossip Girl, Blair Waldorf demonstrates that there's nothing like a red sparkly dress to make you stand out at a party. Although her exact Marchesa dress isn't available online, this one is quite similar.
