Hugh Jackman was an equal opportunity shoulder ride-giver in Sydney with his kids over the weekend. Ava and Oscar are utterly adorable getting the bird's eye view thanks to their strong daddy. Hugh is certainly enjoying his family time at home down under, but this evening he'll be belting it out on the TV. The delightfully bizarre sounding musical casino drama murder mystery Viva Laughlin premieres tonight with Hugh at the helm. He is officially a recurring guest star on the show, but tonight sounds like the best chance to see him singing and dancing. Hilarious. I might not let myself miss that one. Blake Lively and her on-screen mom Kelly Rowland hit the pink carpet at the Viva La Cure Benefit for Women's Cancer Research last night in NYC with other stars like Amanda Peet and Brooke Shields. Gossip Girl may be just getting started, but Blake is already feeling the effects of her newfound celebrity. As the November cover girl for CosmoGirl, Blake talked about getting up close and personal with some of Hollywood's finest. She said,

"It is a crazy and completely insane business. I'll go to an event wearing some designer gown and tens of thousands of dollars in jewels that were lent to me for the night, and I'll walk around and meet people who I always thought were such a big deal."

She even talks about Brad Pitt's poo. I can't wait to read the rest of the interview and see where it goes. As for getting to wear all those fabulous clothes on and off the set — sounds rough . Naomi Watts looked fabulous last night at the premiere of Eastern Promises at the London Film Festival. She was joined by her costar Vincent Cassel, Colin Firth and Elle Macpherson. Obviously the balance of working and being a new mom is suiting her. At the Calvin Klein party the other night, Naomi revealed her secrets to looking good while still working off the baby weight. She said, "I've got a lot of solid undergarments. Good classic lines can also help cheer up an out of shape body." We have a feeling there may be more to this story than just flattering designs and underwear, but whatever she is doing, it's working.

Joel and his brother Benji Madden were right by Nicole's side to guide her through the airport in Sydney this morning. Richie wore her goofy Chanel glasses and slipped back into her standard flying uniform, right down to the pillow and her Loubs. She's probably bummed she missed out on her fav shoe designer party last night. Now that they're headed back to the states, she and Joel will probably get back to preparing for their baby. Hey, maybe they'll even run into Christina and Jordan — we all know how much those two love baby shopping.

Casey Affleck might have been happily hiding in the background while his brother Ben was in the limelight, but those days are fading fast. Between his leading roles in The Assassination of Jesse James and Gone Baby Gone, Casey is quickly making a name for himself as a leading actor. He recently talked about his love for acting but don't expect him to get too personal. He's not a fan of interviews if they go in the wrong direction. He said,

“Here’s the thing: Movies cost a lot of money to make, and I want people to see my work. So I’m happy to talk about my movies. I’ve never met an artist — painter, sculptor, actor, whatever — who said he loved what he did but was content to lock it up in a trunk in the basement. If you make art, you want to share it.

“So I’m happy to play my part. Realistically, doing interviews is part of the job. As long as it’s about the work, it’s fine. When it turns to other stuff — then I have no patience for it.”

I guess after watching what happened to his brother Ben in the tabloids he knows what to avoid. He better be careful though, a leading man as cute as Casey is bound to get his share of magazine covers and screaming fans with enquiring minds.
