Casey Affleck might have been happily hiding in the background while his brother Ben was in the limelight, but those days are fading fast. Between his leading roles in The Assassination of Jesse James and Gone Baby Gone, Casey is quickly making a name for himself as a leading actor. He recently talked about his love for acting but don't expect him to get too personal. He's not a fan of interviews if they go in the wrong direction. He said,

“Here’s the thing: Movies cost a lot of money to make, and I want people to see my work. So I’m happy to talk about my movies. I’ve never met an artist — painter, sculptor, actor, whatever — who said he loved what he did but was content to lock it up in a trunk in the basement. If you make art, you want to share it.
“So I’m happy to play my part. Realistically, doing interviews is part of the job. As long as it’s about the work, it’s fine. When it turns to other stuff — then I have no patience for it.”
I guess after watching what happened to his brother Ben in the tabloids he knows what to avoid. He better be careful though, a leading man as cute as Casey is bound to get his share of magazine covers and screaming fans with enquiring minds.

Looks like Victoria Beckham called over a few of her best British buddies to celebrate the launch of interior designer Kelly Hoppen's book in LA last night. Kelly, who actually decorated the Beckhams' LA pad and is Sienna Miller's ex-stepmother (random!), partied alongside Posh and Tana Ramsey, wife of Kitchen Nightmare's Gordon. At the bash, Victoria spilled the beans on the fact that David may be returning to the field (yay). She said,

"You know unfortunately David couldn't be here because he's hopefully -- fingers crossed -- playing in the game tomorrow. I did that… I just crossed my fingers...He's having treatment as we speak.”
David himself also blogged about his hopes to return to the field, or even just the sidelines for today's game. Even if the news wasn't enough to make Posh flash a smile (looking a little wax here, eh?), I'm sure Becks is happy to be back with the squad. I certainly can't wait to see him put on the uniform.

Two thirds of the most dynamic trio of 2006 — Matthew McConaughey and Lance Armstrong — reunited last night at a screening of CNN's Planet in Peril at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. I hope Jakey G. didn't feel too left out! Speaking of, whatever happened to those bike trips? I certainly miss them. Anderson Cooper was also there for the event, looking suave and dapper as always. The man just does not have an off day. Fresh off his shared People cover, MM was definitely working his sexy eyes at the camera, but there was no Camila on his arm to share in the man-tastic fun.
