You guys decided that you were still sick of Paris when she got out of jail, but she's been trying to change her image in the past few months. Next up, she's headed to Rwanda to take her philanthropic efforts to a new level.
Paris recognizes that this is a big undertaking and admitted to Newsweek that she's scared, saying, "I've heard it's really dangerous, I've never been on a trip like this before." So tell us, do you take Paris more seriously now?
Does The Next Iron Chef Feel Too Much Like Top Chef? To my surprise, I was riveted by last night's episode of The Next Iron Chef. In week two, the first challenge focused on simplicity — creating a single bite of food — while the other involved innovation in the form of so-called molecular gastronomy.
She's still not talking about her pregnancy, but Jennifer Lopez did open up to Allure magazine about tabloids, her family and career. J Lo graces the cover of the November issue to promote her upcoming album Brave and a film she has in production, called Love and Other Impossible Pursuits where a woman desperate for children accepts her fate as a stepmother — a plot perhaps mirroring her own relationship to Marc's three children? Here's more:
Jennifer on not wanting to be in the tabloids: “I know how uncomfortable that life is, how destructive. That’s why you see people crumble under the pressure,” Lopez says, kicking her feet up on a swivel chair. “It’s a tricky thing, the tabloids. I know that a lot of people read them, and they gauge who’s hot and who’s not by who is on the cover.” Her voice going flat, she adds: “If that’s what being hot is right now, I don’t want to be that.”
Jennifer on self esteem: "I can do anything. Just get me in the room; do me a favor. Then I’ll make it happen on my own,’” Lopez says. “It’s not that you get every audition, but you make fans along the way.”
Jennifer on looking back: “I wouldn’t change anything,” she adds, “because it was so fun. Even when things were hard, even if I’d be crying in the bathtub because I didn’t get an audition, or a boyfriend was being mean to me, I had my presence of mind. Whatever it was, I always used to say” —in a whisper— “‘This is my life.’”
With a life like J Lo's, it's hard to imagine there is much room for regret among all of her success. And pregnant or not, she appears to be in a great place in her life with Marc and her many, many projects.
Rachel Bilson showed off her domestic side playing mom at her little sister's soccer game on Saturday with her new baby sis in her arms and Thurman Murmen on the end of his leash. Considering how pint sized Rachel herself is, it's funny to see her look so parent-y. While she generally gets it pretty right in the fashion department, not even R-Bils can pull off that hat (with those sunglasses especially). Ugh. Rachel's appearance on Chuck is only weeks away and she will definitely be a welcome addition back in my primetime rotation. Until then, I just can't decide whether the trailer for her new movie Jumper looks super cool or mostly terrible — check it out and decide for yourself.
After taking a brief moment to try life in the wide world of shirts, rest assured — Matthew McConaughey went right back to his topless, beach-loving ways. He even got Camila on board (literally), trying out paddle surfing in Malibu over the weekend. Guess it's only fair that MM's girlfriend indulges him a little after their romantic vacation in Paris. We bet he'll have her drumming out a tune on those bongos in no time. High fives all around!
Mark Wahlberg's newest movie, We Own The Night, came in 4th at the box office (and failed to impress Buzz), but it looks like that was the last thing on his mind out with his family at Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in LA. He missed last weekend's celebrity craziness, but I'm sure there were still some good future Jack-o-Lanterns for his little Ella Rae and baby Michael. Marky may play tough guys on the big screen, but he's clearly a big softie when he comes to his kids. Look at their group hug! Pretty seriously awwwww-inducing, right?
A Fabby Halloween: Dazed and Confused Senior B*tch I wasn't a Senior b*tch in high school. I was so over high school by the time the fourth year rolled around. I was attending college parties and eagerly awaiting college. I wasn't a b*tch, I was aloof. But, after seeing Dazed and Confused I so wanted to be a Senior b*tch.
Rihanna bundled up for her appearance on The Late Show and looked perfectly chic while waving to her New York fans. She kept things simple in all black but mixed patterns and textures to create a unique look.
