We've seen lots of fake versions of Britney's new album cover for Blackout, but now we have the official photo. The album will be hitting stores on October 30th, and the track list has also been released, with Gimme More kicking it off. So now that you've seen the cover, tell us — love it or leave it?
This week J. Lo remained mum about her suspicious baby bump, Reese and Eva shined on the red carpets, Posh played dress up for a photoshoot and Britney's label announced her new album is coming out sooner than expected. Were you paying attention to everything else that's been going on this week?
Mandy Moore briefly showed off her badass side on How I Met Your Mother, but she was wholesome, and I mean w-h-o-l-e-s-o-m-e at Barnes and Nobles at the Grove yesterday afternoon. Not only was she cuddled up in a sweet cozy looking cardigan, but do you see what she's eyeing to buy? Um, girlfriend was looking at a Raffi CD, seriously — anyone else remember Raffi? Maybe it was for a relative, oooor something. Kinda awesomely precious of her, though. Down by the bay, where the watermelons grow...
Orlando Bloom was involved in a minor car accident early this morning in LA. TMZ is reporting the accident happened around 2:15 am after Orlando was seen leaving the Green Door. Apparently he was driving a car registered to the director of photography on Pirates of the Caribbean and at least one person suffered minor injuries. Details are still coming in so check back for updates.
UPDATE #1: Apparently Orlando was cut off by another driver which caused him to crash. LAPD reports that drugs and alcohol were not a reason for the crash.
UPDATE #2: TMZ is reporting that one of Orlando's passengers suffered a fractured neck and the other was cut by her seat belt. Police insist alcohol was not a reason for the accident, but will not confirm whether or not a blood test was performed.
Claire Danes was joined by Nikki Blonsky and Emile Hirsch yesterday at the 67th Annual Motion Picture Club awards luncheon in NYC. Claire has been spending most of her time on the east coast preparing for her upcoming role on Broadway in Pygmalian. The show marks Claire's professional on-stage debut, although most people think she's had more theatrical experience. She said,
"I think people assume that I had done theater because I live in New York and I have danced. So I am offered a lot of theater for that reason -- because of that misconception -- but nothing really as gripping as this ever came along. I think it's still so provocative and fresh and current."
We still think of Claire as Angela on My So-Called Life, but it's great to see her growing up, branching out and trying new things.
Ben and Casey took their brother show to DC for another screening of their collective effort, Gone Baby Gone sponsored by Capital File. While it's Ben's directorial debut (and baby), it's a big movie for Casey too as leading man in the intense drama. It's a good thing these Boston boys have each other on the red carpet. Casey recently talked to Flaunt Magazine about assuming the starring role, but he also talked about fame, what he has learned from his big brother's mistakes and why he doesn't talk about his personal life. He said:
"Look at Paul Newman, Jack Nicholson — they never did that s***. People didn't know anything abut their f***ing lives. They saw their movies, but there were not like, interviews about their personal lives, and it was easier for them to get away. If you become too much of a character offscreen, it seems, it's harder for people to believe you as any character other than that onscreen. I feel like it only hurts you. Look at my brother, for example. Everyone knew who he was because he bought Bentleys and dated J Lo, and people didn't want to see his movies because they'd just read about him in Us Weekly. And that was really hard for him. He couldn't do period movies 'cause people were like 'This isn't that guy. This is Ben Affleck.'"
While I'm sure that Casey has (and will) make his own mistakes there's nothing like having a big brother there to watch and learn from. Plus, they're always there for you when you succeed as well, as these boys are hopefully enjoying right now. Awwww.
Britney Spears went to court (when she was good and ready) and was able to get one night a week monitored sleepovers with her boys. Apparently she was either "respectful" or totally terrible depending on who you want to believe. After court, Britney took herself shopping at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills to celebrate. A little retail therapy is good for anyone but since this is pretty much all Britney does everyday, maybe she should get back to preparing for her album release, which is less than 3 weeks away. Rumor is she is also holding auditions for dancers for her next video for the second single from Blackout. She may even be back on tour real soon. Sounds much safer than out at night in L.A.
Kate Moss was all smiles leaving the SingStar Take That Extravaganza in London. She took a casual approach to the night, opting for patent leather flats and mismatched blacks.
