Now that Lindsay's in her outpatient care rather than staying at Cirque all the time, she's free to do what any 21-year-old with a new boytoy would enjoy, date night out with her man, Riley. She and her Wu-Tang Loving snowboarder kinda look perfect together, right? I just hope he's ready for the media onslaught and won't sell Lindsay out at the first opportunity. Elsewhere in Lindsay news, OK! Magazine reported that Lindsay fired Dina as her manager, but LL's rep denied the story, telling TMZ that Dina is still Lindsay's "manager and, more importantly, her mother" (thanks for the reminder). Ugh, maybe both Dina and Michael really will be positive influences on Linds (finally) as she tries to stay sober, but I can't help feel like neither Lohan parent is what she needs right now.
Mark and Joaquin were handsome on the red carpet, but Eva Mendes stole the show in white at last night's We Own The Night premiere in NYC. I mean, she was almost upstaged by Joaquin's metallic suit (someone got Adrien's memo!) and Mark's manjoyment-ness, but in the end her million dollar smile won. Many of Mark's recent movies deal with crime and crooked cops (and he himself is no stranger to the justice system), but in real life being a dad is the most important thing these days. He said, "Being a father keeps me focused and reminds me to not break the law. I'd like to work here and there, but I don't want to work to put food on the table. The focus has been on me long enough. My kids are the priority." Awww, he's come a long way from the Funky Bunch. We Own The Night comes out this Friday so check back at the end of the week to read Buzz's review of the film.
"The Biggest Loser" Recap: Black Team Faces Elimination Last night the campus was closed down and the teams were forced to go to Jamaica to work out — those poor things. However, Jamaica did prove to be a challenge since there were constant temptations (booze, relaxing and not working out, etc.)
Reese and Ryan's divorce is official as of today, and although they've been broken up for awhile we can't help but feel sad and a little nostalgic. Before you run home to watch Cruel Intentions on repeat, tell us — which breakup of 2007 are you the most sad about?
On Our Radar: Sheryl Crow Supports FFANY Shoes on Sale For over 13 years, QVC and Fashion Footwear Charitable Foundation's "FFANY Shoes on Sale" event has sold over a million pairs of shoes and has raised $24 million for breast cancer research. This year, singer Sheryl Crow is getting involved.
Justin was still managing to make himself laugh yesterday as he and Jessica had a super casual Toronto Tuesday in their sweats. Perhaps he was just basking in the glory of scoring three nominations for the 2007 American Music Awards. Maybe JT will even let Jessica accompany him on the red carpet. They have been getting pretty serious and we all know that she can clean up pretty nicely for award shows.
Ben Affleck posed with a hobby (motorcycle) and a passion (baseball = Red Sox, heh) for his Parade Magazine photoshoot. He's been making the rounds for Gone Baby Gone and though he is as chiseled and handsome as ever, it's obvious that this project has been a bit draining. Reading and hearing his recent interviews sort of just makes me want to give him a hug. Not only is he looking a bit skinny, but his interviews have been pretty heavy. Here's highlights:
On Growing Up: “I grew up in a home environment where I wasn’t getting esteem for anything I did,” he says. “ I played sports, but I wasn’t great at them, so it wasn’t like I was super-athletic and getting a huge amount of praise for that. There was alcoholism at home because of my father. I changed schools [at 8 years old], and I didn’t really know the kids at the new school. I felt alone.”
On Matt's Role In His Acting Career: “Matt gave acting a framework, an integration into the social hierarchy at school,” he states. “As a teenager, the natural thing is to have friends who have common interests and so you fit together seamlessly. Before Matt, I was by myself. Acting was a solo activity where I’d just go off and do something, act in a little TV show or something, and no one understood it. None of the other kids knew what it was I did, how it worked, or anything. All of a sudden I had this friend, Matt, and he gets it and wants to do it and thinks it’s interesting and wants to talk about it. Soon both of us are doing it.”
Rihanna bundled up for her appearance on The Late Show and looked perfectly chic while waving to her New York fans. She kept things simple in all black but mixed patterns and textures to create a unique look.
