Justin was still managing to make himself laugh yesterday as he and Jessica had a super casual Toronto Tuesday in their sweats. Perhaps he was just basking in the glory of scoring three nominations for the 2007 American Music Awards. Maybe JT will even let Jessica accompany him on the red carpet. They have been getting pretty serious and we all know that she can clean up pretty nicely for award shows.
Ben Affleck posed with a hobby (motorcycle) and a passion (baseball = Red Sox, heh) for his Parade Magazine photoshoot. He's been making the rounds for Gone Baby Gone and though he is as chiseled and handsome as ever, it's obvious that this project has been a bit draining. Reading and hearing his recent interviews sort of just makes me want to give him a hug. Not only is he looking a bit skinny, but his interviews have been pretty heavy. Here's highlights:
On Growing Up: “I grew up in a home environment where I wasn’t getting esteem for anything I did,” he says. “ I played sports, but I wasn’t great at them, so it wasn’t like I was super-athletic and getting a huge amount of praise for that. There was alcoholism at home because of my father. I changed schools [at 8 years old], and I didn’t really know the kids at the new school. I felt alone.”
On Matt's Role In His Acting Career: “Matt gave acting a framework, an integration into the social hierarchy at school,” he states. “As a teenager, the natural thing is to have friends who have common interests and so you fit together seamlessly. Before Matt, I was by myself. Acting was a solo activity where I’d just go off and do something, act in a little TV show or something, and no one understood it. None of the other kids knew what it was I did, how it worked, or anything. All of a sudden I had this friend, Matt, and he gets it and wants to do it and thinks it’s interesting and wants to talk about it. Soon both of us are doing it.”
Nicole is moving right along in her pregnancy (uh, duh), but is still up for a little international travel. She was quite the trooper buckling up for the plane right from LA to a weekend in Hawaii and then off to Sydney to accompany Joel on a short Australian tour. I just hope she took off those Loubs to relax a bit on the plane — beautiful kicks, but barely the optimal travel shoe. Nicole's hair and skin are looking especially beautiful these days, pregnancy suits her well. Obviously all our favorite soon to be celebrity moms are stunning, but Bella wants to know who has the prettiest pregnancy glow? That's a hard one.
Sarah Jessica Parker continued to keep us guessing in her brown wig again on the set of the Sex and the City movie yesterday. We can't get enough of Carrie Bradshaw's fabulous (and in some cases, wacky) outfits, but what's even more impressive is how amazing SJP looks in them. Fit's got the details on how she stays slim enough to wear those short shorts, but scoring her wardrobe will probably prove to be be a little bit harder.
Kiefer Sutherland plead no contest yesterday and was sentenced to a total of 48 days in jail for his current DUI and a probation violation back in December. Knowing Jack Bauer (okay, the LA jail system and celebrity DUIs), he'll probably be released from "overcrowding" before he knows it. - TMZ
David Hasselhoff was briefly hospitalized yesterday after relapsing and drinking again. He's now back at home, and hopefully dedicated to trying to remain clean and sober once more. - ET
Kim Raver of 24 gave birth to her second child yesterday. She'll be keeping busy between the new baby and her new show Lipstick Jungle. It's nice to hear some good news from one member of the 24 family! - People
