We were loving the mix of colors and themes that the ladies brought to the Emmy red carpet last night, but as always a few of the stars tried just a bit too hard to push the envelope. Primetime Emmy Awards: Battle of the Red Dresses I am a sucker for a red dress on a red carpet. While some think it's red overdose, I think it's fabulous. Seeing as how red is a big color for next Spring, consider these ladies in red fashion forward. Bold, beautiful and powerful they are...but who is your absolute favorite?
Nicole spent some alone time shopping in LA over the weekend, then met up with Joel for some lunch. Of course, alone for Nicole still means being surrounded by a crowd of photographers. Obviously she has no problem being in the spotlight and getting lots of paparazzi attention, but we wonder if things will change once her baby comes. What do think? Will Nicole show her newborn off or go into hiding?
Suri had her red headed doll, her blankie, and tired looking mom Katie on hand to bid her grandparents farewell in Berlin over the weekend. The Holmes family took a little vacation to visit their daughter and granddaughter while Tom's in town making his movie. This is certainly not my favorite hair moment for Katie, but I have grown to love the short 'do on her. Hey, we all have off days. I mean, other than Suri who looks great as always in her mom's arms.
Movie Preview: Juno, Starring Rainn Wilson, Michael Cera, Jason Bateman I was feeling a little groggy this morning after so much Emmys excitement, so imagine my delight when I discovered that there is (finally!) a trailer online for the indie film Juno! The movie stars all sorts of hilarious people (like Rainn Wilson, Michael Cera, Jason Bateman and Allison Janney), and some other people who are not necessarily funny but still welcome faces (like J.K. Simmons and Jennifer Garner).
The Emmys ended but the fun certainly didn't stop there. Our favorite American Idol judges and boys from Entourage were among the many celebs who headed to Les Deux for the TV Guide party. Obviously the girls from the The Hills would never miss a party at their favorite hotspot, and Eric and Rebecca weren't ready to go home either. Scary Teri even took it upon herself to sing a song or two and even had a complete wardrobe and hair change. The mic was also passed along to Kanye and John Legend who performed for the stars. Looks like Kanye had no problem getting back in the limelight after Rainn Wilson totally stole his thunder during their hilarious skit at the show.
Britney didn't make any surprise appearance at last night's Emmys, but she's still in the headlines. Another day in the Britney/Kevin custody battle. After rumors that Kevin's side would present a damaging new "secret witness", Britney's lawyer Laura Wasser has reportedly decided to jump ship. It's no surprise that Britney is difficult to deal with and probably doesn't listen much to advice, plus this isn't the first time that Wasser has threatened to leave. Hopefully her new lawyer is up for the challenge.
Wasser will probably be happy that she decided to leave when she did, because the other big rumor about Britney this morning is more than a little unpleasant. The UK's The Sun is reporting that Brit has been banned from the Chateau Marmont for her bizarre behavior. Most notably they're saying that one night she disrupted diners in the hotel's restaurant by "smearing" food on her face. Ew, ew. Hopefully that's a total exaggeration.
Rachel Zoe was photographed walking down Robertson, Starbucks in hand, looking ready for some serious shopping. She looked chic in her round sunglasses and Chanel bag, which she wore with of-the-moment thigh-high boots, a denim Current/Elliott biker jacket, and printed scarf.
