Hayden rocked the short-shorts and a hat that she may have borrowed from Brad Pitt while running some errands in LA yesterday. We bet her breakup with Stephen Colletti isn't making life very easy these days, but we had a feeling it wouldn't last. She's so famous and busy now. Not only is the new season of Heroes starting in less than 2 weeks, she's also got all kinds of Emmy fun coming up this week. Speaking of which, have you filled out your Emmy ballot yet? Because you could be winning a free year of cable. Good luck!

Nicole Richie was back from her whirlwind trip to NY Fashion Week and out to lunch in LA yesterday with her man Joel. Nicole kept it simple in her black dress to match Joel's typically non-colorful ensemble. Despite some sound bites from Paris in support of Nicole upcoming skills as a mom, these two frenemies have steered pretty clear of each other since they supposedly "made up" on The Simple Life. I have to wonder, though, how Nic feels about Paris' outing Christina's pregnancy by calling her "the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world." Minor ouch - Nicole looks great and I do hope she knows it.

Rachel McAdams was black, white and red all over at the Toronto Film Festival premiere of Married Life last night (love the back of her dress). It's fun to see her biking around town filming The Time Traveler's Wife, but I just adore seeing her on the red carpet. I know I use the words "cute" and "adorable" liberally, but come on now - she so, so is. Sadly, there was no Ryan Gosling on her arm, but I'm still basking in the news (which I am choosing to believe) that these two are still together. Just like Ryan, Rachel opted to keep her date within the family, bringing her brother Daniel on her arm. Awww, can't blame her for that. (Though come on now, maybe Ryan next time?)

Now that NY Fashion Week is over, Posh is most likely headed back west. She made sure to turn a few heads with her tight hot outfits and it didn't go unnoticed. People Magazine has issued their best and worst dressed of 2007 (I know it's only September but whatever) and Victoria got an honorable mention in a special "British Accent" section! Her stylish husband, however, made the male best dressed list. The Beckhams are one of our favorite fashionable couples, so we're not at all surprised by this news - however, we do think that Posh deserved more than just an honorable mention. Then again, maybe they figured out that she's guilty of repeating outfits. Gasp! Besides, Beyonce was named The Showstopper but based on Posh's dresses this week she may be in for competition in 2008.

Cate Blanchett got sexy in the sand for the October issue of W Magazine. She may be playing Bob Dylan in one of her latest movies, but there's no doubting her femininity in these photos. It's still hard for us to imagine her playing Bob but the pictures of Cate as Bob are pretty amazing. In the article, Cate dishes about working on I'm Not There and how she never steps away from a challenge. Here are highlights:

- On the roles she chooses: "I used to constantly play that Truth, Dare, Kiss or Promise game as a child. I guess I've never outgrown it. If somebody challenges me to do something, I say okay. I say okay very quickly."
- On playing Bob Dylan: "It's another crazy idea," she says. "I just strapped those breasts down and went for it."
We love how bold Cate is and that she's secure enough with herself to take risks with her acting. So far it seems to be working - she was even named best actress at the Venice Film Festival for I'm Not There.

The all-star cast of Reservation Road hit the Toronto Film Festival, first stopping off for a press conference to discuss the film. Sure, Joaquin wasn't looking his very best but (the newly daughter-expecting) Mark more than makes up for it in the adorable factor. Mira and Jennifer looked like they were having a lot of fun with their male co-stars (hey, I wouldn't mind spending an afternoon with those boys). Unfortunately little Elle Fanning didn't make it out to the press conference - she is just precious. I loved the book of Reservation Road (not to be confused with Leo/Kate's Revolutionary Road), so I'm definitely excited to see this one. Hopefully this excellent cast will be able to do the story justice.
