Ryan Gosling boldly wore a denim shirt and then a plaid three piece suit to his Lars and the Real Girl press conference/premiere at the Toronto Film Festival yesterday. Yet, he totally made it work. During the conference, talk turned to the odd subject matter of the film - falling in love with a life sized Real Doll. They joked about how they treated her like a real member of the cast, even respecting her modesty by only changing her clothes in privacy. Love. It. BUT the most important part of was when Ryan said that his girlfriend Rachel McAdamsdoesn't like it when he leaves the doll around the house. OMG you guys, I love it. I had kind of given up hope that they were secretly still together. Um, major yays.
Heidi Klum looks like she stopped off at the delicious guilty pleasure bakery section of her local Whole Foods over the weekend looking her standard mix of supermodel and mom. While I love me some Heidi, I was a little disappointed last week when I thought they were introducing the new Project Runway designers during Tim Gunn's Guide To Style, but instead only showed us about ten second clips of two of them. I suppose I shouldn't have expected anything more, and it will just make me all the more excited for the return of the show, right? And how about that one guy's tie/shirt combo? Yowza. Oh and, Emmy Ballots! Fill one out!
Prior to her gorgeous VMA appearance, Jennifer Garner had her arms full of Violet and her latest upgraded handbag when arriving at the airport for the Toronto Film Festival. She had a jam-packed weekend with her Juno cast mates, Jason Bateman and Michael Cera. Jennifer changed her look for each occasion and while we don't think we'd ever wear the strapless bow dress, Jennifer looked amazing in it. Ben decided to let Jen shine all on her own for this one, but hopefully he was able to divide his time between supporting both his wife and brother.
Kanye gave some solid performances last night at the VMAs, but he was less than pleased about losing to JT in 2 categories. Apparently Mr. West had a tantrum backstage, saying, "That's two years in a row, man ... give a black man a chance. I'm trying hard man, I have the ... No. 1 record, man." He followed up today with an interview confirming that he has canceled all his upcoming appearances on MTV, citing a number of grievances against the network. We can understand his frustrations but do you think Kanye is just acting like a big baby?
With the Toronto Film Festival and VMA madness, it's easy to forget that NY Fashion Week is still going strong. In fact, it's just getting better and better. Victoria Beckham finally made her debut in the front row at Oscar de la Renta, after spending last week in the UK promoting her book. I'm sure she'll be making the most of her days at the shows - nonstop Posh with never ending costume changes. While Paris partied away her weekend in Vegas, Nicky showed off her line - Nicholai. Carmen and Diane aren't designers just yet, but they're certainly soaking in all the fun fashion this week. Looking at all the gorgeous first rowers is fun and all, but check out Fab and Bella for all the runway details - and be sure to check them out on Elle.com!
Kate Moss was all smiles leaving the SingStar Take That Extravaganza in London. She took a casual approach to the night, opting for patent leather flats and mixed-matched blacks.
