The ladies were showing off their sass on the red carpet at last night's MTV VMAs. Just about the only girl not showing off her legs was Rihanna who certainly wasn't hiding her hot bod. It all looks good for a steamy Vegas night. What did you think about all the red carpet looks and beauty? Jennifer Garner was definitely a little bit of a random addition to the crew, but looked stunning! Ashlee was another highlight - though really she's 100% not the girl from her MTV show. Overall though, the ladies did the MTV red carpet right - keeping it light, fun and funky. Rewind for a sec back to Garner, yowza! Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck had lots of help from their friends for the big premiere of The Assassination of Jesse James at the Toronto Film Festival this weekend. Of course Angelina was right by Brad's side, while Matt Damon and Don Cheadle represented the Ocean's 13 crew and Ben showed the brotherly love. We can't wait to see these hot men playing bad boys on screen and it sounds like it's worth a visit to the movie theater - Brad was just awarded with the best actor title from last week's Venice film festival. He said,
"I could try to play it down, but it's great fun. The nicest thing is how excited my friends are for me and to be amongst the lineage of people that have also been bestowed this honor. It's a really nice honor."
Yay Brad! Could this be a sign of what is to come for this year's award show season? It must have been nice for Brad to have all his boys around to celebrate in his honor. These film festivals are getting us very excited for Fall Movie time!
Most of the boys took advantage of the anything goes dress code at the MTV VMAs last night. 50 Cent stood tall in his tan blazer while his frenemy Kanye got all tuxed up for the event. Adam Levine went pretty boy in a vest and scarf while Ryan Scheckler kept up his skater style and Steve-O grossed us all out with his nasty chest hair. Shia decided to get fancy, but we're starting to think that he looks much better when he keeps it casual and shaves his face (what's with the gross stache?). Overall, the boys didn't make for the most exciting red carpet in the world, but at least the ladies gave us something to talk about. Which of these guys would you most like to have on your arm?
The big show is next weekend, but yesterday the Shrine Auditorium was all about the Creative Emmys. The lesser known Emmy event brought out some personal favorites (and next week's nominees) - from NPH to America. Kathy Griffin walked away with her first Emmy for My Life on the D-List (which is my guilty pleasure). Check out the full list of winners here. As expected, Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg walked away winning for D*ck In A Box. During his acceptance speech Andy obviously took the chance to make a few jokes. He said:
"I think it's safe to say that when we first set out to make this song, we were all thinking 'Emmy!...The other thing we were thinking was, 'Hey! Here's this young up and comer, Justin Timberlake, who is clearly very talented and could clearly use a break. So, Justin, if you're out there, congrats to you, kid.'"

Apparently things got a bit heated during the VMAs tonight. Word is during the show Kid Rock and Tommy Lee were throwing down. Both famous ex husbands of Pam Anderson were escorted out of the arena. Tommy and Pam have never hid their on-and-off again relationship but we understand why Kid would be pissed off seeing them flaunt it in his face by making out. In fact, apparently Kid didn't take it lightly and he initiated the brawl. They're both skinny and scrappy, so - who do you think would win in the Tommy vs. Kid Rock fight?
We've been waiting for years for a memorable performance from Britney Spears. Something that screams comeback. Gimme More is her hot new single and we have definitely enjoyed it but was her performance tonight as memorable? I'm happy to see Britney back on stage but I was hoping for a bit more.
Rihanna bundled up for her appearance on The Late Show and looked perfectly chic while waving to her New York fans. She kept things simple in all black but mixed patterns and textures to create a unique look.
