Rihanna was looking sassy in her LBD at the nominations launch for the MOBO awards in London last night. Despite her broken toe, the starlet is showing no signs of slowing down. She recently talked to Us Weekly about the VMAs, and being single. Here are highlights:
On what we can expect at the VMAs:
“I am performing my single 'Shut Up and Drive.' It’s my first time performing at the VMAs, so I am really excited! And I’m nominated for a lot of awards in some huge categories, so I feel great."
On whether she’s dating anyone:
“No, I’m single. I like being single because you can explore new things. At times, not having commitment is great."
We are definitely excited to check out Rihanna's performance on September 9th. Hopefully her toe will be healed up by then so she can (maybe) show off her dance moves with the likes of Britney and Madonna.
Charlize took advantage of a little break from John Hancock to grab some lunch in LA on Tuesday. She wasn't joined by her costar Will, but it looks like she channeled her inner Agent J, especially with those sunglasses. John Hancock will be a big release next summer, but before then Charlize will show off an acting labor of love, Battle in Seattle. The movie, about the 1999 WTO riots, premieres at the Toronto Film Festival in September and is both the directorial and screenwriting debut for Charlize's boyfriend Stuart Townsend. He's a lucky boy to get such an amazing actress to light up his first time behind the camera.

I guess JT is actually in the middle of the Canadian leg of his tour, but it looks like he couldn't stay away from his family's home recipes and had to take a detour to NYC. He better get used to Canada, however, because he has just signed on to play a Canuck hockey star in Love Guru with Jessica Alba and Mike Myers.
Official charges against Lindsay Lohan were filed this morning for her two DUIs last spring. Considering the circumstances, she got off pretty light - seven misdemeanors but no felonies, which means the maximum sentence she can serve is four days in jail. Considering the large amount of trouble LL has created for herself and everyone around her, we're pretty shocked the courts weren't harder on her. What do you think - did Lindsay get off too easy?
David Beckham is hot. Hot and even hotter in that weathered leather jacket and his favorite accessory of all -- the pashmina. He was already back at Heathrow on his way stateside after a whirlwind visit to the UK. Obviously he has to get back to his family and his team, but some of his England teammates were worried about the toll all the travel would take on his playing. But steamy Becks was quick to deny the claims saying about jet lag, "So far it hasn't affected me. In the future, who knows? I can't say it's not going to but, at the moment, it is not and I'll play for my country as long as I'm wanted." Thrilling stuff, I know. Now, let's get back to Mr Stern-N-Smokin'.
