Hayden celebrated her birthday with 75 of her closest friends at the LG House in Malibu last night. Hayden is 18 now and you know what that means - voting! In fact, she's even getting involved in Declare Yourself, a campaign that urges 18 year-olds to register and vote in the November election. Of course, becoming a legal adult isn't all business for Hayden. When Letterman asked her about celebrating, she said, "We're going to have a big party. I think it will be my biggest party yet." Hopefully Hayden didn't regress to her 16 year old party with Paris ways because we like the girl she is growing up to be. Apparently at her big bash there was so much cake even the paparazzi got to enjoy some. All that cake would go great with her newest photo op - a Got Milk ad with her costar Masi Oka!
Jakey G was looking cute and scruffy out and about in Martha's Vineyard over the weekend, where he has a summer home. We've also spotted Reese hanging around the vineyard with her kids, and we have to say that it seems more than just coincidental. We know that we've still only seen one photo of Reese and Jake together, but we want to know - do you think they're really rendezvous-ing?
Reese and her two cuties made the most of the last weeks of summer with a trip to Martha's Vineyard, which just happens to be where Jakey G has been vacationing (more on that later). That being said, Ava and Deacon had their mommy all to themselves as they got to ride the ferris wheel and eat carnival treats at an Agricultural Fair. Pretty soon Reese will be back into red carpet mode to promote Rendition, so we bet she wanted to soak up as much time with her little ones as possible before they go back with daddy Ryan.
Britney is missing! Kidding, but really, having not seen the pop tart since she showed off her natural short hair this weekend, I'm beginning to wonder where she is. She's not one to miss multiple nights in a row out at the clubs. In her wake, there are enough rumors to keep her in the news. The biggest story is that Justin wrote a duet for himself and Britney but she backed out of it at the last minute, much to her record label's chagrin. I'm still loathe to believe that JT would want to work with Brit again considering he washed his hands of that years ago, but if there is any truth to this story, ugh, so not smart of her.
Meanwhile, Us Weekly is saying that Criss Angel is just using Brit for press. And possibly using hypnotism. Seriously. First of all, duh to him being a publicity whore. Second of all, yuck to all of it.
Finally, Life & Style caught up with the erstwhile pop star after a night at a club (shocker) over the weekend where she had this to say, "My babies are my life. I love them more than anything.” She also revealed this to the magazine, “I love my fans, I really do. They’re so sweet to me." As for what's next in the saga of Britney Spears? Honestly, who knows.
Lindsay Lohan hit the supermarket in Utah with her siblings, Ali and Dakota. Lately we've been seeing a lot of Lindsay participating in various outdoor activities and appearing to get healthier. Unfortunately, the smile on her face could be due to the recent paparazzi attention we know LL thrives off of. She even invited OK! Magazine to her rehab facility so they could document Lindsay's progress as she cleans up her act. They are reporting that she is working in a supermarket (can we get photos of that please!) and "replacing L.A. and smoking with yoga and reading." While this all sounds so promising, it looks as if she is more focused on the media attention than rehab. Between her behavior and the fact that she probably won't serve jail time, we wish we had more faith that LL was going to be recovered this time around.
On a side note, does anyone else think Ali Lohan looks like she just left a dance recital - what's with all that makeup?
Brad Pitt is taking a few days off from playing stay-at-home dad while Angelina makes Wanted to visit New Orleans and talk about his efforts in the area. I know I've already talked about how hot he looked during his Ann Curry interview, but just look at him gesture -- le sigh. This morning part one of the interview aired on The Today Show. The full video is below, but here are highlights:
On rebuilding New Orleans: I know a lot of the people here. I care very much for the area. I met a 60 year old man who...said [to me], 'I did everything right. I got a job. I bought a home. I raised my kids in that home. They did the same. Now...we're all split apart and we've been wiped out...What do I do?' And he's right...that's unacceptable. So any debate on 'should we rebuild, should we not' -- I'll take you on."
On the lessons of Katrina: It's a justice issue. What we saw [with] Katrina is that there is a portion of our society that's being overlooked. And so, in the aftermath, we're not going to be able to bring back the friends and family that are lost. We're not going to be able to bring back their heirlooms and their photographs. But maybe, this is a question we presented, maybe we can provide a better way of life. Maybe we can find some good out of this. And that has to deal with justice and fairness.”
Brad's only in NOLA for a couple of days before he's set to appear this weekend in the Hamptons. This doesn't mean his philanthropy work for the week is done, however, as he is hitting up the NY summer destination for a charity event to benefit Hurricane Katrina victims hosted by himself and Angelina.
After violating her probation, Foxy Brown has been sentenced to serve jail time until her next hearing. Paris seems to have set a precedent for misbehaving celebrities. - TMZ
Billy Murray refused a breath test after he was pulled over in Sweden under the suspicion that he was drunk driving a golf cart. Isn't that why they have caddies? - AP
Tyra Banks has split with manager Benny Medina, possibly because of his high list of demands. Isn't it usually supposed to be the other way around where the actress is too demanding for her manager? - R & M
Due to her recent health problems, Amy Winehouse has decided to postpone her September tour dates in the U.S. and Canada. Sounds like a good plan. - Us Weekly
Bette Midler was fined after cutting down over 230 trees on one of her properties in Hawaii without a legal permit. Apparently Bette actually had the best interests of the ecosystem at heart when she made the mistake, so we'll give her a bye on this one. - AP
Rihanna bundled up for her appearance on The Late Show and looked perfectly chic while waving to her New York fans. She kept things simple in all black but mixed patterns and textures to create a unique look.
