Lately we've been seeing a lot of Scarlett Johansson on the set of the latest Woody Allen movie in Barcelona, but the actress has a lot more going on right now than that. The Nanny Diaries hits theaters on Friday (check back then to see Buzz's review), she's got an album coming out in October and another movie to be released next year - and she still finds time to fuel rumors about her relationship with Ryan Reynolds. Scarlett recently sat down with USA Today to talk about men, movies and making it in Hollywood. Here are highlights:
On dating:
"No," she says, "I'm not seeing Josh Hartnett. He is dreamy, though. No, not Justin Timberlake. I'm a little private about that stuff. I'd love to just scream it out. But (the paparazzi and tabloids) are so intrusive. We can go down a list, and I can say, 'No, no, no.' But I won't say who."
On having children of her own:
"I would love to have kids. I haven't really figured it out yet. I can see having a kid or two. And I would like to adopt children. I think I'm tender with children.
On working with Natalie Portman:
"It was so fantastic to work with her," Johansson says. "She's an amazing actor. We have a lot in common as New Yorkers. We know some of the same people. We have the same lifestyle."
It sounds like Scarlett is wise beyond her years, especially when we think of her in comparison to other starlets her age. We're definitely looking forward to seeing more great things from her and her movies in the upcoming year - and maybe even a little more information about her "not-so-mysterious" boyfriend.
While Reese and the kiddies are enjoying the east coast life on Martha's Vineyard maybe/maybe not with her maybe/maybe not boyfriend Jake, Ryan is off in London with a mystery brunette. I'm not sure who that lady friend is, but I do know it's not his rumored on again flame Abbie Cornish. It looks like whoever she is at least Ryan was nice enough to finish his cigarette outside of the car rather than sitting in the backseat with her. Is this hot Ryan or not hot Ryan? I can't decide.
Rihanna went for the high-waisted pant and open vest look in London last night. She's still healing her foot but not afraid to rock that boot so we're giving her props yet again for making the most of her injury. Hopefully she'll be able to hobble back to the states for the Teen Choice Awards this Sunday - she's up for 4 different awards, thanks in part to her Umbrella. Are you loving Rihanna's look? Posh was looking like one hot momma with precious Cruz in her arms yesterday afternoon. She is such a rock star in that outfit, those shoes, those sunglasses and with her adorable mini man! Of course Cruz is rocking the bright pink pacifier, I would expect nothing less. These days Victoria is spending her time taking care of the boys while David is playing soccer all over the country, but she's still got her own projects. Not only is she releasing her book stateside and guest starring on Ugly Betty, but she recently wrote on her website that she is working on her new dvb denim line. Not to mention of course, the Spice Girls reunion...and the full time job of looking so absolutely fabulous 24/7.
Hayden celebrated her birthday with 75 of her closest friends at the LG House in Malibu last night. Hayden is 18 now and you know what that means - voting! In fact, she's even getting involved in Declare Yourself, a campaign that urges 18 year-olds to register and vote in the November election. Of course, becoming a legal adult isn't all business for Hayden. When Letterman asked her about celebrating, she said, "We're going to have a big party. I think it will be my biggest party yet." Hopefully Hayden didn't regress to her 16 year old party with Paris ways because we like the girl she is growing up to be. Apparently at her big bash there was so much cake even the paparazzi got to enjoy some. All that cake would go great with her newest photo op - a Got Milk ad with her costar Masi Oka!
Jakey G was looking cute and scruffy out and about in Martha's Vineyard over the weekend, where he has a summer home. We've also spotted Reese hanging around the vineyard with her kids, and we have to say that it seems more than just coincidental. We know that we've still only seen one photo of Reese and Jake together, but we want to know - do you think they're really rendezvous-ing?
Nicky Hilton makes dressing for transition weather look so easy! Waiting for her car at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills, she wore a trendy and chic ensemble consisting of a gray blazer, a simple black tank, denim cut offs and platform booties.
