Sarah Michelle Gellar was spotted looking adorable walking into Trader Joe's in LA yesterday and it looks like she was bringing her own bags to carry the groceries out with (though I will say those look like Whole Foods bags not TJ ones -- aaaand I'm a loser). Too bad she didn't have her Anya Hindmarch to go with the theme. It's nice to see that not only is SMG getting some good food, but she's environmentally conscious about it. Plus, I would definitely like to think that she's stocking up on some award winning Two Buck Chuck for her and Freddie!
Mandy looked like a vamped up version of herself at the Dedication premiere in NYC last night. While we're a huge fan of the actress, we're not loving this harsh look. We bet her costar Billy Crudup wasn't into it much either. Mandy makes him look so tiny as she towers over him. Obviously from her big smile we can tell they were having fun with the situation. It reminds us that she's still her wholesome self. In fact, Mandy recently opened up to TV Guide about what sets her apart from some of Hollywood's other young stars. Here's more:
How have you been able to sidestep the troubles that have plagued Britney and Lindsay?
I think it all sort of comes down to family and having this wonderful support of people in your life. I know this sounds Pollyanna-ish, but it's not. I don't relate to that kind of lifestyle and exposure. That is never really the situation I've been in. And I feel lucky for that.
We agree that Mandy is lucky to have been able to rely on her strong family background. She's also stayed out of the scene which has helped her avoid trouble. If only LL and Brit had a support system then maybe they'd be a positive role model like Mandy.
The good people at Allure were pretty seriously kind to Britney on the cover of their September issue. Despite the fact that the pop tart bailed on the interview for the bizarre cover photo shoot, they made sure the resulting picture was hot. Unfortunately, we all know Britney looks nothing like that these days. Does seeing this give you vague hope for Britney's future?
In the end, it seems oddly appropriate that Britney herself didn't talk in the article, because when was the last time that she actually really spoke for herself? Britney talks in snippets on her website or to the paparazzi, but the rest of what we hear about Brit comes from elsewhere -- from those forced to testify against her to those who just take advantage of a night by her side and every lawyer in between. Anyone who has a story will talk about Brit.
Hopefully Britney will get her act together (and work out this custody mess with Kevin), because there are still a lot of people holding out for her big comeback. I'm definitely not believing the rumors, but there is word that Brit will be the opening act at the VMAs in Vegas September 9. Hey, it doesn't hurt to hope!
Three. Christina, Jordan and her step-brother spent a lovely afternoon chandelier shopping at a light store in LA yesterday. Good times with home improvement. At times Xtina covered up her controversial stomach, but in general she just stuck with her usual loose fitting clothes. Even super casual though, Christina kept it glam with her bright red lipstick and movie star sunglasses. I do love how her lipstick matches her bag and phone though. Eva Longoria looked adorable in her T-bags maxi dress while grabbing some coffee in LA, but even all that fabric can't hide her tiny, super fit bod. When she's not talking about her plans for her future family with Tony, Eva's been hard at work on the set of Desperate Housewives. The next season is definitely starting to sound promising as we get closer to the premiere in September - be sure to check out which actors just joined the cast as Wisteria Lane's newest couple.
Rihanna bundled up for her appearance on The Late Show and looked perfectly chic while waving to her New York fans. She kept things simple in all black but mixed patterns and textures to create a unique look.
