Mandy Moore is obviously down with staying friends with her exes, as demonstrated here when she met up with DJ AM for lunch in LA yesterday, but something tells me she and Braff aren't going to be buddies anytime soon. She made it clear in endless interviews promoting Wild Hope that parts of the album were about her break-up with the Scrubs star and in retrospect she admits that she feels a little bad for the guy having to read and hear about it over and over again. That being said, judging from her lyrics maybe he deserved it a little. Her fling with AM was obviously nowhere near as long term or intense, but it definitely didn't end with any hard feelings. They hung out in the Hamptons over July 4 and just look how happy (ha) they look to be spending an afternoon together!
Lindsay looks great in these outtakes from her Elle Magazine cover story, but unfortunately much of what she says in the interview has since been contradicted by her behavior. She sat down to talk to the magazine just days before her Memorial Day DUI and had this to say about driving under the influence, "I wouldn’t violate…I’m much more responsible than that.” She obviously has had a hard time sticking to her word, so we want to know - will you ever trust Lindsay again?
It's a slow news day, so we thought we'd catch you up on something that didn't happen this week. The battle of the tabloids are in full force even though they have the same covers. Therefore, despite lots of rumors that Brad and Angelina are having problems and have maybe even broken up, the two are still going strong and vacationing with their happy family in France. We're missing the daily routine of seeing Brad & Angie taking their kids to school, but at least it's good to see that they are enjoying some quality family time.
Well well well, if it isn't another Olsen looking saucy and cute, emphasis on the saucy this time. First Mary-Kate looked great at her Weeds premiere and last night Ashley came out in fishnets and leather for the launch party for LORAC cosmetics' upcoming new palate with clothing line Miss Davenport, Showstopper. Wow, that's a mouthful. My favorite twins are obviously into doing their own thing these days but I'm glad to see that they both look happy and healthy in their ventures. So many smiles! So much teeth! Yay.
The second segment of Diane Sawyer's interview with Nicole and Joel aired on GMA today. This time, Nicole denied ever having an eating disorder and how she now eats all the time. She claims to be playing by the rules - no sushi, no caffeine, no alcohol or drugs. Now that Nicole is opening up, Lionel is weighing in on his feelings about his daughter's behavior. He said, “My daughter has made some mistakes in her life and has accepted responsibility for her actions. She has not blamed others for her problems and is growing up very quickly, albeit in the heat of the media spotlight. In spite of what has happened, I continue to love her and cherish our relationship.”
We're wondering why Lionel was so quiet and now that he has opened up, he still hasn't told us whether or not he's excited to be a grandpa. Nicole's baby is supposedly due in December so we still have plenty of time for the family to tell us more. In the meantime, Nicole needs to go to jail and the rumor is she may be headed there this weekend.
Amid continuing controversy about her parenting skills, Britney Spears enjoyed her time out at Winstons with some friends last night. It's been another rough week for Britney with her boys gracing not one but two magazine covers calling for help and that Las Vegas bodyguard/photographer fight rearing its ugly head again. None of that stopped Brit from flashing a smile, blue lollipop in hand, leaving the Hollywood hot spot. By her side was on-again sidekick Alli, whose motives beg to be questioned since she announced that she is launching her own pop music career. Brit needs help and guidance, not another person using her to get more famous.
Tim McGraw stopped singing in the middle of a performance to accuse a fan of stealing a ring off of his pinky finger. The fan claims the ring came off before Tim shook her hand, but either way the crowd was definitely hands-on that night. - TMZ
