On all the boys: "It's a great project to be involved in because I really care about all the people I work with. They're really great friends of mine. We've done a million other projects together besides the 'Oceans.' And it's a fun character to play. You won't see many movies in this day and age with that many big stars who are actively handing the spotlight to the people around them. They share everything with one another. They're not trying to grab the spotlight. It's a casual group. And I think that's the thing I loved the most about it -- how laid back everybody was."
On being the leader to Brad & Matt:"In terms of being the leader of Brad and Matt, I have some very compromising photos of them that I use as leverage to make myself the leader," Clooney said, once again raising a laugh as he added that he could not show the pictures. "There was a farm animal involved."
I literally cannot get enough of all those boys being such good friends. Here's to hoping their next group project is already in the works. Lots more of George and Jerry Weintraub so read more
Andy Samberg displayed enough facial expressions on TRL yesterday to give John Krasinski a run for his money. Andy's becoming a household name this year and with his new movie and big Emmy nomination, we can expect to see more of of him. Speaking of that now infamous skit, Andy admits that he was surprised by the craze created by "D*ck In The Box," saying, "I never thought it would be anything. Justin did, though. He knows what a hit sounds like. I so want to win this Emmy." Well we wish him luck and in the meantime, to get your funny guy fix, check out Buzz's exclusive interview with Andy and his buddies talking about Hot Rod.
Lohan's I Know Who Killed Me only managed to make a measly $3.4 Million over its opening weekend (not to mention getting some pretty painfully bad reviews), but perhaps we spoke too soon in dooming Lohan's next project. The producers of Dare to Love Me (the tango movie) are standing behind their starlet, even saying that since filming isn't set to start until October 1 everything should be able to remain right on schedule. Well, judging from Lindsay's track record that sounds a little like wishful thinking to me.
While LL has remained remarkably quiet since her arrest last week, she's still impossible to avoid. Her newest ads for Jill Stuart have just been released (check them out here) along with a statement from the designer in support of Lindsay and her "efforts to get back on track and on a healthful road to sobriety and rehabilitation." She also called out the restaurants and bars that "comp these young people and the paparazzi that harass them relentlessly." Well, it sounds like even LL's best efforts to self-destruct won't deter people from having faith in her. Hopefully, this time she can pull herself together once and for all.
Scarlett's character is attached to that camera on the set of her still unnamed Woody Allen project in Barcelona. We assume she'll be taking a break soon to promote The Nanny Diaries, which is finally going to open on August 24th. You can win a chance to attend the NYC premiere. Click here to enter and maybe meet Scarlett; hopefully, sans nose ring and her latest accessory that camera.
JT and Biel took a little joyride around sunny LA on Sunday; Justin even took off his top for the occasion. And doesn't Jessica just look like she's having a blast? Ever since Justin and Jessica started dating they've been super grumpy pants when they're hanging out. Kinda like how it always was when he was with Cameron, but as soon as they split she was full of smiles. Maybe it's a special request Justin has of his ladies to make sure the paparazzi don't get a good, happy couple shot. No smiles allowed. I'll tell you what though, it mostly just convinces me that JT is no fun.
Salma Hayek looked beautiful and bright with her baby bump while strolling through Hollywood this weekend. Even though Salma isn't acting while pregnant that doesn't mean she's putting her career on hold. Salma, the producer, is one of the 50 women who will be featured in Variety's Women’s Impact Report. Other leading ladies who were movers and shakers in the industry this year include Angelina, Tina Fey and J.K. Rowling. In the special issue, Salma talks about what her company, Ventanazul, means to her and what she hopes to achieve as a producer. Here are highlights:
"I think we are the only company right now whose sole mission is to specialize in two things: 1) appealing to the Latin market and 2) taking a Latin story or a Latin talent and appealing to the global market."
"Instead of making one good movie, I'm really thinking of a brand. I want the Latin people to be proud of the projects that come out of it and the rest of the world to be excited to see our next thing."
"I do dream hard, but I'm very flexible. I think it's the only way to be a true visionary. ... I don't think I'm going to fail, but if I do, the next person in the line will go a little bit further because I took the chance."
It's inspiring to see how dedicated and ambitious Salma is, even as she does all this pregnant. We can't wait to see how her projects turn out, even if we're just slightly more excited for the first glimpse of her bundle of joy this winter.
Paris certainly dressed the part out all decked out in gold & white with Nicky and David in Vegas over the weekend. Unfortunately for Paris, she was also sporting a bad case of lipstick teeth, whoops! It's not all bad luck for Miss Hilton, she's just nabbed herself a role in a futuristic rock musical called, Repo! The Genetic Opera. Nope, not a joke -- check out more information here. So we'll have to endure more of Paris on the big screen, but at least this project sounds like it could be more entertaining than House of Wax.
Singer and actress Selena Gomez posed for pictures at the 2009 American Music Awards with a pretty pink smile on her face. She took advantage of the occasion and went glam; wearing a Talbot Runhof sequin dress with black strappy heels.
