Beyonce took a break from her never ending vacation with Jay-Z to stop by MTV's TRL Studios yesterday. Beyonce can certainly get glammed up, but I think I like her most of all in a t-shirt and jeans. Miss Knowles the solo artist seems light years away from her days in Destiny's Child, but she doesn't forget her all-girl roots. In fact, her recent tour boasts an all female band. Here's more:
Q: You auditioned and hired an all-female band for the tour. What has it been like?
BEYONCE: I'm used to all females. I grew up in a house with so many women. I love being around women, I love being around talented women and supportive women. Everyone is so supportive of each other. We do things together, like yesterday we went skating; I rented out a roller skating rink for all of us and everybody's families to come. Also, I have eight female dancers and four males ... they are the only men on the tour, I feel bad for them being around all us women!
Q: So it's not true that women can't get along?
BEYONCE: I was afraid of that in the beginning when I had the idea. I was like, this will never work ... (but) I found focused and incredible musicians that are just as good or better than any guy. And then I was like, well, even if I do find it, after a while, there will be some problems. (Laughs.) But it hasn't been any problems, and everyone is just talented and secure and excited.
Taradise may be long over, but nothing will stop this girl from wearing her itsy-bitsy bikinis in St Tropez in the summer. Her tummy is looking slightly better, although we're thinking that gold chain hanging from her top might just be a good distraction. Now if only she would wear a suit with some more coverage on the bottom and ditch the cigarettes then we could give her an upgrade cheer.
It's a good thing Hilary is out of the country because now that Joel just confirmed he is having a baby with Nicole Richie, she's going to want to be far away from this drama. Ms Duff may not have heard the news since she was still smiling when she showed off her stems in a cute pair of jean shorts between performances in Canada. We've already heard a bit about what happens when she's on stage, but Hilary is going to have plenty of down time during her stay in Canada, too. Just don't expect her to veg out and watch TV - Hilary fully plans on staying fit and healthy while on the road. Compared to her peers, Hilary continues to be a starlet we can really get behind these days.
Cindy Crawford is one of the lucky ones in more than a few ways. She's still looking as phenomenal as ever, only now she's got more important ways to fill her days than modeling -- hanging out with her beautiful family. Cindy had a cozy little mother/daughter lunch out with her 7-year-old daughter Kaya in Malibu on Sunday. Cindy and her husband better keep a close eye on that one, because it looks like she is already getting her mother's looks.
Jenna Dewan walked down the street in Beverly Hills looking extremely chic and poised. Her structured white blazer framed her body perfectly, and paired well over her draped fringe Haute Hippie halter which she wore with denim leggings and over-the-knee brown boots.
