Perhaps as a cheeky homage to Lindsay's possible impending jail time (okay, probably not), both Ashlee and Pete wore a version of the black and white stripes grabbing lunch at Toast in LA yesterday. We just learned that Ashlee's dream of collaborating with The Cure's Robert Smith may be untrue as of yet, but it doesn't look like that is getting her down. Yup, these two are still going strong and definitely not making any headlines -- boring or endearing in their comb-forward for him/fedora for her combo? You decide.

Winona was channeling Carmen's Fashion Week hair from last year in the pages of this month's Vogue. Now that she's making movies again, the media is bringing back up that shoplifting scandal. We've learned that unlike today's starlets, Winona was embarrassed by her actions and learned a lesson. After her issue with painkillers she said, "No one (in my family) ever got angry with me. Concerned, yes, but not concerned with a drug problem or anything. Because after that night I pretty much didn't ever. … If you are ever arrested, you can't ever do that again." Hmmm, looks like Lindsay doesn't have the same set of standards as Winona who purposely left Hollywood for years so she wouldn't become a tabloid fixture. We hope the world welcomes her back since we'd love to see more creative hit films like Reality Bites, Edward Scissorhands and Heathers.

With the starlet population not-so-slowly running themselves into the ground, Adam Brody is keeping their seats warm at the Hollywood Hotspots. Last night clad in the requisite hoodie Mr. Brody enjoyed an evening at Winstons and left looking pretty happy. Here's to hoping he didn't get behind the wheel. I missed Adam's cute face at the NYC premiere of his upcoming movie, The Ten, but hopefully he'll make it if they have another one. He does clean up nice, after all.

Scarlett went for the natural look on the set of the still unnamed Woody Allen film in Barcelona, but at least she wasn't wearing that hideous nose ring. We think her choice of jewelry is an ugly distraction from her beauty, but apparently Scarlett doesn't agree with us. She said, "It's all about my creative side and I personally look lovely. So what exactly is the problem with it?" We'd much rather see Scarlett using her creative side on the big screen instead of on her face. Just saying.

After their big weekend of debuts and welcomes, the Beckhams opted for a quiet (uh, relatively) afternoon of shopping on Robertson with Romeo in tow. Obviously Posh has the shopping thing covered, and the two are conquering the television (David's show premieres tonight!), but what about that promise of establishing soccer in America? Well, despite only playing 16 minutes of Saturday's game, it was the most watched MLS Game in ESPN or ESPN2's history. Yays. This move may not be great for Becks's pretty little head, but it certainly can't hurt that ego. Now, I guess we'll just have to see if he can sustain all the hype, because Posh can certainly sustain holding up the shopping end of business.

Reese went super casual in her sweats and Puma cap for a little shopping excursion in Santa Monica. She's been keeping a pretty low profile lately and we don't blame her, especially since divorce is no fun and there's also that supposed break up with Jake. Speaking of her Rendition co-star, Life & Style reports in this weekend's issue that the reason behind their break up was that Jake hooked up with Jessica Simpson! After a dinner at his place he decided he wasn't interested in Simpson but when he confessed his date to Reese, she rightfully kicked him to the curb. As much as anything is possible in Hollywood, this little love triangle sounds a bit far-fetched for us.
