Britney and her new puppy London caused some serious chaos shopping on Robertson yesterday afternoon. The paparazzi frenzy was so aggressive that the LAPD was called to help quell the masses. Just another day for Britney Spears. Unfortunately, all is not well in the land of Brit Brit, rumor has it that tell-all OK! Magazine interview and photoshoot went pretty horribly. Sources told TMZ that she was a mess -- from her eyes rolling back in her head during the shoot, to wiping up London's mess with a Chanel dress, to demanding fried chicken and wiping the grease on a Gucci frock. And that's only the beginning.
The story goes that she refused to let any of the magazine's hair/make-up people work with her. Instead she demanded to use her own and the resulting photos would apparently, "ruin her career." Uh...if that didn't happen with the photos/actions back in January I'm not sure it ever will. Somehow I feel like this all may be a bit of an exaggeration, but it's clear that things are a little off kilter (again) with Brit. Hopefully she can keep it together and keep working on her comeback. Sigh, wishful thinking.
Some of the eclectic cast of The Ten came out for the NYC premiere last night. It's no secret that we love seeing Winona, and when she's on the arm of personal favorite Paul Rudd it's all the more welcome. A very pregnant Gretchen Mol and Famke Janssen looked great on the red carpet, but some of the movie's other stars like Adam Brody and Jessica Alba missed the screening. Hey, maybe next time. Meanwhile, something always looks a little off with the beautiful Rashida Jones, right? I definitely can't wait to see this little dark comedy, which consists of vignettes about the 10 Commandments, when it comes out August 3. In case you missed the awesome trailer, check it out here.

Ashlee Simpson continued her carefree hat-wearing lifestyle this weekend with friends in West Hollywood. Even without Pete, Ash seems pretty happy to just be hanging around drinking coffee. It makes us wonder what's going on with that album we recently heard about. Apparently, those rumors about a collaboration with The Cure aren't all that true. According to lead singer Robert Smith, who said, "I would be hugely surprised if I end up working with Ashlee this year, but I haven't ruled it out." Maybe if Ashlee spent more time in the studio and a little less hanging out she could get something going with Robert this year.

Cameron's golden locks looked angelic on her summery white dress while leaving the Neil George Salon in Beverly Hills this weekend. Still no sign of her rumored environmentalist boyfriend, but maybe that's because she is too busy working on her own eco-friendly projects. Cameron's teaming up with Al Gore to sponsor a contest called :60 Seconds To Save The Earth. Participants submit original short videos that showcase how they are doing their part to protect our planet. If the celeb endorsements aren't enough to get you inspired, the winner gets to cruise around in a very eco-friendly Toyota Hybrid of their own, so get those creative juices flowing for your chance to win!
John Mayer got all broody and floppy haired in the pages of GQ this month. Kinda hot, right? Back in March we saw John with Jess by his side in Atlanta for this photoshoot -- awwww, sometimes I miss them and their light-hold hair products. Speaking of the Simpson-Mayer duo, John talked a little bit about that relationship in the pages of the magazine. Here's more:
On caring about what people thought: I’m actually finished with that part of my image—with caring about that part of my image. I’m kind of at my quietest that I’ve ever been. And I’m at my happiest I’ve ever been. I do not take the outside world into my house with me. I just don’t care anymore. It’s vapor. When somebody wants to take a picture of you coming out of a restaurant, it doesn’t matter. Whether you save a falling baby’s life or whether you fall yourself on the ground drunk, it’s gone, lost in the sea of DUIs and crotch shots. And it just doesn’t matter.
On what matters: What does matter is answering your fans, letting them know you exist still in the same way you always did, that the names change and the dollar values go up but you still exist in the same timeline of a person as you always did. That you still love playing music, you still know right from wrong, you can still smell bullshit like anyone else can.
On Speaking In Japanese to Ryan Seacrest at the Grammys: Ryan Seacrest is like my own little Richard Simmons. I like bits. I practiced that line for three days. When Ryan says, “You know I have to ask you” —which is one of the dumbest prefaces of all time—I think, Maybe I’ll just answer you in Japanese. And then you’ll have to figure it out. So now I’m the guy on top.
While I do appreciate his feisty sense of humor, I miss him and Jess. Though, to be fair, I might be the only one.
Jenna Dewan walked down the street in Beverly Hills looking extremely chic and poised. Her structured white blazer framed her body perfectly, and paired well over her draped fringe Haute Hippie halter, denim leggings, and over-the-knee brown boots.
