After a false alarm last week, Britney actually did purchase herself a new puppy yesterday. Brilliant. It looks like during the same midriff baring shopping venture she learned about the wonderous world of tennis rackets. She looks so befuddled by it. But I thought she was a pro? About the puppy, apparently she's named it London and she was happy to show it off for the paparazzi on her way out clubbing at Ritual for the night. The little pup was probably scared of the flash bulbs, but hopefully he'll get used to it pretty quickly. Too bad Bit Bit isn't around anymore to show London the ropes.
Mischa got to play dress up in some bright colors and interesting headgear for the August issue of Elle UK. Ever since Marissa Cooper was killed off The OC, we haven't seen much of Mischa on-screen, but that hasn't stopped her from landing magazine covers. In the article, Mischa talks about her rise to fame and what it means to be grouped with the likes of Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, saying,
"It is a persona. It's not me. I think, 'Who the hell is that girl?' I'm so low-key and chilled. But the media has created a fake 'Young Hollywood' where everyone hangs out together and everybody knows each other. It couldn't be further from the truth. I feel so, so different from those girls."
Hmmm. Well Mischa may feel so different from those girls, but wasn't it less than 2 months ago that she had to leave Nicole Richie's bbq and head to the hospital? The media may play it up, but we don't think Mischa is as far removed from it as she'd like to think.
Adrian Grenier happily hopped into his Toyota Prius hybrid after running some errands in LA the other day. He's just one of the many celebrities who are very vocal about their environmental activism. Between the concerts, magazine covers and PSAs, it's impossible to ignore these stars as they keep doing good, so we want to know - are you inspired to be more eco-friendly?
Aaaaand rounding out our week of revisiting the NBC Thursday Night line up of yore: Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox! The former Friends and real life friends grabbed dinner at Il Sole this week. While Courteney's awesome (and underwatched) Dirtwill be back, we're still missing Lisa on the small screen. I'm probably the only one, but I totally loved The Comeback -- if only that was still around. Talk about a stealth mission. Rebecca Romijn & Jerry O'Connell have been engaged since September of 2005 and barely talked about their wedding plans, then all of a sudden People reports the two got hitched this weekend. Here's more:
"Rebecca and Jerry were married on Saturday evening in an intimate ceremony at their home surrounded by family and close friends," says the actress' rep.
Romijn, 34, wore a Ralph Lauren gown and jewelry by Neil Lane as she and O'Connell, 33, exchanged vows in front of 100 family and friends. The couple's two dogs Taco and Better – dressed in black bow ties – also joined in on the celebration, running around the grounds.
I like these two together although I REALLY liked her with John Stamos. However, those days are long gone and Jerry seems like a great match for her. Congrats to the newlyweds.
Rihanna bundled up for her appearance on The Late Show and looked perfectly chic while waving to her New York fans. She kept things simple in all black but mixed patterns and textures to create a unique look.
