Pete paid homage to the legendary More Cowbell Christopher Walken SNL skit arriving at LAX with Ashlee yesterday. Maybe he made it to be her date at the Simpson family weekend wedding after all -- I can only imagine how Pete gets along with Papa Joe (ahem, not well). Pete and Ashlee have been pretty inseparable over the past few months, including what sounds like a romantic 4th of July in the Hamptons. Pete was hosting a party at which he dedicated JT's Summer Love to his girl. Ash repaid the favor by lip syncing the lyrics, "I can't wait to fall in love with you" back to him. Sounds like this may be more than just a little Summer Love for these two...or someone's heart may be broken come September. Awwww...
Heidi Klum seems to be enjoying a low key summer in LA with her family. Yesterday she spent the day at the park using her kids to keep her arms fit. She then headed off to do some grocery shopping in Beverly Hills. For a supermodel with great style, we're not into Heidi's flowing pants paired with her Birkenstocks. I guess it suits her current laid back lifestyle. Good news for those of you missing Heidi on TV since Project Runway doesn't come back until December. Sigh, so I guess this dirty looking 'stache is here to stay as long as Orlando Bloom is playing his part on a London stage in In Celebration. I'll give him a pass for that long, and that long only, but if he decides to stick with it when his time on stage is done, I may have to revoke his Manjoyment status. Over the weekend, Orlando spent some time out at the nightclub Raffles, where crooner James Blunt was also enjoying his evening. For Orlando's sake, I kinda hope not, because James seems kinda smarmy. Plus, he obviously encourages scraggly facial hair. Not a good influence.
Matt Damon is looking buff at LAX. The action star flew to Vegas to play poker for Darfur but apparently didn't do so well. The Summer of Damon as I like to refer to it, has already included Ocean's love, BFF bonding and in a few weeks we will get to see Matty again promoting Bourne. We can't wait to see him remember!
Jennifer Lopez carted off to Lisbon this weekend to perform at the announcement ceremony for the New Seven Wonders of the World. Judging from these pictures, the scene was a bit ridiculous. This new list was apparently chosen by 100 Million votes from people in 200 countries. Who knew? As for what spots made the cut: Chichén Itzá, Mexico; Christ the Redeemer, Brazil; The Great Wall, China; Machu Picchu, Peru; Petra, Jordan; The Roman Colloseum, Italy; The Taj Mahal, India. The fabulous Jennifer Lopez somehow didn't make the list. Maybe next time, J Lo!
