Kate Hudson headed over to a dance studio in Santa Monica with her jazz shoes in hand - guess she's taking a break from all the pole dancing. Her classes must be just a fun way to exercise since her next project sounds like a pretty straightforward romantic comedy. Kate has just signed on for Bachelor No. 2, which co-stars Dane Cook. We're not Dane's biggest fans, but nobody can play the adorable leading lady quite like Kate can.

Madonna has been pulling double duty lately, directing her first movie and working on her new album with Justin's help. You guys said that you're excited to hear what JT and Madonna have cooked up and we couldn't agree more. In a recent interview with EW, Justin opened up to give us a peek into what he and Madge have planned. Here's more:

"The records that we've done so far are really exciting. There are some dance records, there are some mid-tempo ballads, there's all types of different stuff. But I don't want to gas it too much. People might like it or people might not. I don't want to say, like, [carnival-barker voice] ''It's going to change the world!'' You know what I mean? But we like it.

We never met a Madonna record we didn't like, so this all sounds great to us. Besides, how can the combination of these two superstars possibly go wrong?

Ever had the burning desire to have a peek into Pete Doherty's mind? Well today is your lucky day! His diaries, The Books of Albion: The Collected Writings of Peter Doherty, were released today! Uhhhh, yay? After reading some excerpts from the book, which chronicles his highs, lows, and recent Thailand drug scandal, one thing is clear -- for better and often for worse, he's passionate about Kate. He even talks about their intimate times. And, ew. At the end of the excerpts though, he seems a little more upbeat and, dare I say, sober. From rehab in January:

I now surrender to the science of detoxification and pray that Godspeeds the worst of it and Saturday morning at the latest will see me once more in my love’s loving arms. We have been close this time that passed and with the smack and needle free we shall marry in the summer and I become ten times happier than any given smackhead. Huzzah!

Considering how long it's been since Pete's gotten in trouble, and that they're sharing modeling gigs these days, maybe these two will make it after all.

Jennifer Aniston was seen in her usual uniform including classic jeans, a fitted top, heels and belt as she headed to the Staples Center for The Police concert last night. We know Jennifer has been a long time friend and fan of Police lead singer, Sting. In fact, it was at a Sting concert that Brad and Jen first showed off her engagement ring back in '98. Those days are long behind us now. I wonder who her special date was last night.

Tuesday evening was the opening night of Shakespeare In The Park's rendition of Romeo and Juliet in Central Park, but the evening took a turn for the worse when it started to pour, sending umbrella-less stars like Debra and Cynthia running for cover. Funny, though, because somehow Zach Braff already looks rained on. Oh wait, that might just be his greasiness. Sick. Speaking of less-than-pleasant thoughts about Zach, rumor has it that during the play he was less interested in the Wherefore Art Thous and more into hitting on actress Shiri Appleby. Yup, that sounds like the semi-sleazy Zach Braff we know and begrudgingly tolerate!

Ben and the babies sat out the latest Hawaiian water adventure, but Jennifer, Matt, Luciana and her older daughter Alexia all tried their hand (and excellent balance) at paddle surfing yesterday afternoon. To be fair, it looks like Jennifer had a little trouble keeping that balance, but she managed to save herself and Alexia from toppling over entirely. Little Alexia looks a wee bit miserable, but I'm sure she's having a great time with her mom and step-dad Matt in Hawaii for summer vacation. How could she not, right? Speaking of which, Happy First Day of Summer, everyone! Yay!
