Sunday was visiting day at the Twin Towers medical jail facility and Paris apparently had two special requests -- Nicky and Stavros. Paris broke up with Stav back in March, but he obviously still means a lot to the heiress. Think a post-lock-up reunion is in order? After the visit, Nicky had this to say about her sister's current state, "She's being strong." Over the weekend we learned that Paris will not be filing that appeal after all and the latest is that she will serve the remainder of her days where she is now -- no more Lynnwood for P. Hopefully for her sake she feels safer at this new joint and will finally resume eating/drinking without fear of a leering guard's cameraphone. We wouldn't want bathroom picks of Paris leaking to the press, now would we?
It's been almost two months since we heard anything remotely scandalous about Kate & Pete's antics, which got me thinking about whether these two have finally learned their lesson. Obviously her model lifestyle combined with his Rock Star one is the making of a disaster, but the two seem to have maybe finally found a more stable life. What do you think -- is Pete finally cleaning up his act?
Britney Spears and her sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston were seen leaving one of her favorite vacation spots, the Four Seasons in Kona. Cute JJ is in Brit's arms asleep and we can see his cute face and long hair. We keep getting more and more peeks at the little man, which makes us wonder why she was hiding him for so long. I think it's great she's trying to get out of LA for some vacations. Too bad she can't go anywhere without being followed and we bet she's on her way back to LA to gear up for more fishnet wearing dance studio sightings. Fun times!
After what was described as a difficult first night in the Twin Towers jail medical ward during which Paris was described as "despondent" and "fragile," she finally released a statement this afternoon. She's remained pretty quiet during this whole mess, but apparently she felt it was time to speak, or at least have someone translate her thoughts into a carefully worded statement. It read:
"Today I told my attorneys not to appeal the judge's decision. While I greatly appreciate the Sheriff's concern for my health and welfare, after meeting with doctors I intend to serve my time as ordered by the judge.
This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. During the past several days, I have had a lot of time to reflect and have already learned a bitter, but important lesson from this experience.
As I have said before, I hope others will learn from my mistake. I have also had time to read the mail from my fans. I very much appreciate all of their good wishes and hope they will keep their letters coming.
I must also say that I was shocked to see all of the attention devoted to the amount of time I would spend in jail for what I had done by the media, public and city officials. I would hope going forward that the public and the media will focus on more important things, like the men and women serving our country in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places around the world."
Could it be that Paris is finally sick of attention? Is Paris really a changed woman? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Love it or hate it, we're still going to post the adorable little Violet and her loving fabulous mother enjoying themselves in the park. It's just such a pleasure to see a young Hollywood mother take such an active role in parenting. With all the craziness of stupid young girls out at clubs or behind bars, I prefer to post these images even if they're a lot less controversial.
