Yesterday we told you that Paris was assigned a prison cell mate, making her looming jail stint seem just a little more real. As awful as it would be to serve time, we can't help but imagine what it would be like to share a cell with Ms. Hilton. Kate and Pete took their crazy love to Ibiza this week and seem to be having a great time playing around together. And why wouldn't they be happy? Pete's cleaned up his act a bit and Kate is more in demand than ever. In fact, six nude prints of Kate taken by Chuck Close from a 2003 W spread valued at $40,000 just sold at Christie's for $166,000, over 4 times the estimate! Say what you will about Kate's personal life, but her modeling skills obviously speak for themselves.
The Ocean's 13 boys' Cannes party might be over, but Damon and Clooney wisely hopped over to George's Lake Como villa to relax a bit before having to show up for all the big Ocean's premieres next week. Seriously, of all the celebrity vacation homes, George's Italian estate is probably the one I covet the most. Matt and George even took Matt's little bundle of Isabella out on the lake for a boat ride. Yay! Cuteness! While the boys were back at the festival, as usual, they gave a whole bunch of hilarious/adorable interviews. Here's a little from Matt on being a dad:
"It's amazing to be a new dad. It just defies description. I feel like I got made a member of a club I didn't know existed. I really didn't think about other people's babies. They would always show me pictures or hand me the baby. I'd say 'Keep it away from me.'"
Matt also joked a bit about how weird it is for George that the Ocean's set was completely full of babies. Something tells me it still wasn't enough to get Clooney to want to settle down. Ever. I definitely still love seeing their guy time (like, a lot), but Matt talking about being a dad is pretty freaking precious, too. Well, to be fair, just about anything these boys want to do is fine by me.
Just yesterday we were wondering if Jake and Reese were still secretly dating and now today there's pictures of them meeting up at a friend's house and then driving, in separate cars, back to Reese's house in Brentwood. Hooray! One of these days they're going to have to let us see them together, but until then this will have to do. As usual, Reese has much more going on than her love life. She just signed on for a remake of the 1939 comedy, Midnight, about a showgirl enlisted by a man to lure away his wife's lover. No word on who's the male lead, but we think Jake would be perfect!
JLo and Marc came out in NYC last night to lend their support (and Marc's voice) to a Children's Health Fund benefit. As has been the case recently, J Lo looked like she is about 18, furthering my case that she is aging backwards. After he performed to a crowd that included President Bill Clinton, Marc spoke about his continued involvement with children's charities, "They are our future and it is very important that they have all that they need to grow and prosper to healthy human beings and that is what we want to do." Say what you will about Marc, but sometimes he seems like a pretty good guy. Golf claps.

It's not often we get to hear from Hayden Christensen. Besides his recent relationship with Rachel Bilson, he seems to be laying low. That might have something to do with the fact that he spends a lot of his time in London and when he's in LA he tries to stay under the radar. Hayden recently told enRoute magazine that he's definitely trying to keep it real after being boosted to fame from the Star Wars films and if that means buying a farm and moving to Canada, so be it. On his newest purchase:
“I recently acquired a farm north of Toronto,” Christensen says, “and I just bought a big excavator and a dump truck and a bobcat – construction toys. I plan to start building soon. I can’t wait to go out there and move dirt and get my hands dirty. It’s currently a hay farm, but I want it to be a working farm. I want to fill the barn with livestock. First pigs, then cattle and horses.”
On keeping a low profile:
“Lifestyle has a lot to do with how often you end up in the tabloids,” he says. “Daniel Day-Lewis went to Italy and became a cobbler. I went out and bought construction equipment.”
Luckily for us, he has three films in the can so even if he's milking cows in Canada we'll still be able to get to see more of Hayden here in the states. As for his time with Rachel, the two were spotted in Toronto shopping for home furnishings this week. There's nothing like a woman's touch to make his new farm a home!
