The graduating class at Falls Church High School in Virginia was lucky enough to have Ben Affleck as their speaker at their commencement ceremony. His speech was a tribute to Joe Kindregan, a student with a degenerative disease that Ben had met and befriended on the set of Forces of Nature. Ben showed both his goofy and serious sides, making fun of movies like Gigli and bringing his audience - including Jennifer Garner - to tears, saying, "I'm here because what I learned about the distance between how you see someone and who they are, I didn't learn in Hollywood, I learned from a classmate of yours, my friend, Joe Kindregan." Ben definitely has his more abrasive side, but we love hearing about moments like these that show how sweet and down to earth he really is.

The ladies rocked the red carpet but it was all about the men last night at the MTV Movie Awards (seriously, not one woman won an award!) Will Ferrell and Sacha Baron Cohen won for best kiss, and even gave the audience the live version on stage. Mike Myers received the MTV Generation Award for being an all around funny guy and Jack Nicholson took home for best villain. To check out the rest of the big winners just click here. As for the backstage action, Baby Borat rumors continue to swirl as cute Isla wore another loose dress, Shia and Andy shared a few laughs and Gerard Butler proudly showed off his popcorn to the crowd.

Congrats to all the men but boo that no ladies won. Perhaps this is why they had to have Sarah Silverman as the host. For more pics of the press room and backstage including Adam Sandler, Tyrese Gibson, Josh Duhamel, Jessica Alba and more just read more

Ah the show, the show, the 2 Hour Advertisement For Transformers MTV Movie Awards. Sarah Silverman was just sort of meh as a host for me, but, to be fair, after seeing the men and women arrive the whole show was pretty tame compared to what MTV has churned out in awards shows of yore. Interestingly (and oddly) exactly zero women won or accepted any awards. What's up with that? The highlight of the evening, for sure, was Will and Sacha's make-out acceptance of the Best Kiss award. Unfortunately, as much as I love Victoria Beckham -- she looked and acted like a doll up on stage. Boo city. But! Yay City! Johnny Depp was in the house! Meanwhile, was Jack Nicholson drunk? No judgment. What did you guys think? Highlights? Low lights?

Never one to let another's headline overpower her own, Paris Hilton made herself the biggest story of last night by reporting to serve her jail sentence after leaving the MTV Movie Awards, two nights earlier than scheduled. She issued the following statement:

"I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation. During the past few weeks, I have had a lot of time to think and have come to realize I made some mistakes. This is an important point in my life and I need to take responsibility for my actions. In the future, I plan on taking more of an active role in the decisions I make. I want to thank my family, friends and fans for their continued support. Although I am scared, I am ready to begin my jail sentence."
TMZ caught the video (Kathy Hilton's window conspicuously left open so photographers could get the shot) of Paris getting driven into the facility. To hear more details of Paris' next 23 days and last night on the town just read more
The little black dress ruled the red carpet last night at the MTV Movie Awards. Who knew all the hype about a possible feud between Cameron and Jessica would come down to who showed more leg. I really don't think Cameron could sit down in that dress but she sure looked hot! As with any red carpet event, there were definitely some misses as well. Posh should have ditched the pink bra and the beautiful Eva Mendes could have been sexier. Don't even get me started on Amy Winehouse and her dirty ratty hair. Even the ladies who sported the bedhead trend looked cleaner than her. As for other trends, clearly it was all about bare necks and nude lips last night.

As always, the women were the Belles of the Ball at last night's MTV Movie Awards (Winners! Here!), but the men managed to make a few fashion statements of their own. First of all, John Krasinski needs to lose the cardigan. Like, now. Meanwhile, who told cutie Shia and Zac Efron that the skinny tie is, once again, back? Because I hope that's not true. On the other side of the spectrum, Josh Duhamel is S-M-O-K-I-N-G Hot. Also, what did Andy Samberg's shirt say? Just curious. All that aside, Jay-Z was the best dressed. Just hands down.
