Christina Ricci and Adam Goldberg got a little shopping done in Hollywood last night. The two may have broken up and sold their house last year, but they're back together, living around the corner from each other and look happier than ever. Christina says in June's issue of Tatler that she's at a point in her life where she's ready to settle down. And as a little bonus, she talked a bit about working with JT in Black Snake Moan, too. Here are highlights:
On getting married: "I think about that a lot," she says. "Sometimes it sounds really good, but then I'm not actually sure I'd want to go through with the wedding. Although I feel like if we didn't have a wedding, my family would be mad at me, and Adam's family would be mad at him....That's just a whole thing – I don't want to deal with it because you know you're going to get in trouble. I just want to be married, or just engaged. Basically, I just want a ring. And the tax break."
On working with JT: "He also never acted like anything I was doing was weird. In one scene we did together I had no underwear on, just a shirt, and later he told me he'd been really shocked by that. But he acted, God bless him, like it was totally normal what I was doing, so that was sweet of him."
That Justin, always a gentleman. As for Christina and marriage, while we would love to see her in a wedding gown, it sounds like eloping might be more her speed!
Monday night marked the most star-filled event we've seen in months (literally), the Costume Institute Gala at The Met. Most of the women looked totally fabulous, but there were a few who were, um, less stunning. Here's what else went down:
Meanwhile, Lindsay's week was clean and mischief free. NOT. Heh. She started out the week with a scandal. Rather than acknowledge it, she just shacked up with a new man, did some interviews, and went on her her way. Also, her mom is still totes crazy and attention starved.
We got to see little Maddox with his parental units going to and from school. Being such a badass at such a young age, perhaps he should be the one to suggest that hid dad lose the hat.
Some cute little ladies came out to celebrate at a poolside BBQ at the Roosevelt Hotel. What were they celebrating? Why Bartles & Jaymes Wine Coolers, naturally! Keep it classy, Los Angeles. Carmen and Sophia looked pretty darn cute while Elisha was a little bit too PINK (which is saying a lot, because obviously we love pink around these parts). Hopefully the ladies were able to get some food -- wine coolers on an empty stomach are never a good call. Mmmmm, Summer = BBQs. Delicious.
For a guy who likes nothing more than sitting around drinking a beer and watching the game on TV, Nick's been quite happy to get all gussied up with Vanessa recently. To be fair, last weekend's big event was the Kentucky Derby, so it was still right up his sporting alley. Thursday, on the other hand, he and Vanessa co-hosted the Candie's Foundation Event to Prevent at Christie's. The benefit raised money to help educate teens about pregnancy prevention. Hosting events together seems like a pretty serious move, but considering these two already moved in together, it's no surprise. Now we just have to wonder what's up next for these two lovebirds.
Okay, I can't even help it. Here's even more of Brad Dad bringing his little man Maddox to school in Prague this week. It looks like Maddox is pretty used to having a bit of an audience as he goes about his business. Also, Mad has the hippest haircut ever. Seriously, expect to see this look everywhere by next week. He is so cutting edge like that.
America's beautiful pearly whites are really paying off -- she's just had her smile insured for $10 Million through Lloyd's of London. Aquafresh White Trays is sponsoring the insurance and will also donate $1 for every box of White Trays sold between now and August 31. All the money will go to Smiles for Success a program which provides dental care for women in need. Ten million for teeth may seem a little much, but at least the money is going to a great cause! In fact, America is just the latest in a long line of celebs with body parts insured. Must be crazy to have one part of your body worth so much!
