Jennifer showed young Hollywood how it was done at the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood 2007 bash last night. While the rest of the starlets donned dresses J Lo made a splash in a white Ralph Lauren suit. It's no surprise then that she was honored as US Weekly's Style Icon of the Year, an honor she was also awarded by Harper's Bazaar this year. While we don't always agree with her choices, she's definitely not afraid to take risks. Marc Anthony jokingly said, however, that she mostly has him to thank for her fashion decisions. Here are highlights:

"I pick out all her dresses, for the most part...I'm the Simon Cowell of my household — really honest."

But Anthony credits his wife for sparking his keen fashion sense, saying, "She developed my eye for it. I didn't realize I was so good at it, but she could have 20 designers and five girlfriends in a room, and she'll still say, 'Let's ask Marc.'"

Marc has another important duty as well. "I'm her purse...At these things, that's my purpose and you've got to know what your purpose is." Concealed inside Anthony's black suit, he said, were Lopez's eye shadow, lipstick and various other beauty items.

"Sometimes my purse doesn't fit stuff and he has to carry things," acknowledged Lopez.

While Jennifer was definitely a focal point of the night, she shared the spotlight with tons of other stars like LL who came in some enormous curls and picked up an award for Red Carpet Style. For the few of you always asking about Britney's little boys, she was out yesterday with both of them in tow. As usual, the primary hip spot was reserved for Sean Preston while Jayden James was hidden under a blanket in his carrier. She just does not want to show us a clear view of that baby's face. Britney's obviously back to loving her bod (otherwise, why would she be prancing around town in what amounts to fishnets, a leotard and those heinous boots?), and rumor has it that she's about ready to hit the stage.

The internet is abuzz with the story that Britney is gearing up to play a secret show at the House of Blues Anaheim and Sunset Strip next Wednesday and Thursday (May 2 & 3) respectively. Apparently she is playing under the pseudonym "M + M". Hmmm, curious indeed. We'll definitely stay tuned to see how this one turns out. Anyone in LA who grabs some tickets, definitely let us know!

How's this for totally random? After Eve was arrested for totaling her car in a supposed drunk driving accident, Sean Penn showed up to bail her out. Yes, you read that right. Sean Penn, who has apparently been friends with Eve for a few years, randomly rushed to the police station to help out a friend. Sweet, only apparently Eve was as baffled by the visit as we are. That, and she had already been bailed out by her manager. After learning that she was already on her way out, word is that Sean left the station before even seeing Eve. Soooo, all that makes sense, right? Uhhhhhh...just go with it.

Nic stopped by Letterman last night to promote his new film Next that opens today. In the movie he stars as a man who can see two minutes into the future. As a result he's relentlessly pursued by the FBI, which wants to use him to stop a terrorist threat. The action thriller also stars Jessica Biel as his love interest. After months (months!) of planning, Katie is finally hard at work on her next big project, Mad Money. She looks happy, which is a good thing, whether or not this film is going to go down in cinematic history. Hey, at least she doesn't look like she's a woman trapped in some sort of marital prison. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Katie on set with her costars Queen Latifah and Diane Keaton (random!) so hopefully she'll bring her little Suri along for a few days of shoots. Despite Tom's warnings that he would remain within feet of Katie throughout the movie making, there's no sight of him in these pics. Perhaps he's lightened up a bit? Sounds likely.
