How's this for totally random? After Eve was arrested for totaling her car in a supposed drunk driving accident, Sean Penn showed up to bail her out. Yes, you read that right. Sean Penn, who has apparently been friends with Eve for a few years, randomly rushed to the police station to help out a friend. Sweet, only apparently Eve was as baffled by the visit as we are. That, and she had already been bailed out by her manager. After learning that she was already on her way out, word is that Sean left the station before even seeing Eve. Soooo, all that makes sense, right? Uhhhhhh...just go with it.

Nic stopped by Letterman last night to promote his new film Next that opens today. In the movie he stars as a man who can see two minutes into the future. As a result he's relentlessly pursued by the FBI, which wants to use him to stop a terrorist threat. The action thriller also stars Jessica Biel as his love interest. After months (months!) of planning, Katie is finally hard at work on her next big project, Mad Money. She looks happy, which is a good thing, whether or not this film is going to go down in cinematic history. Hey, at least she doesn't look like she's a woman trapped in some sort of marital prison. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Katie on set with her costars Queen Latifah and Diane Keaton (random!) so hopefully she'll bring her little Suri along for a few days of shoots. Despite Tom's warnings that he would remain within feet of Katie throughout the movie making, there's no sight of him in these pics. Perhaps he's lightened up a bit? Sounds likely.

Of course Julia Roberts is just as stunning far along in the pregnancy as she is anytime else. I mean, how could she ever not be endearing? Answer: she couldn't. Unfortunately Julia won't be reprising her Ocean's role in Ocean's 13, but we're happy any time we see her out and about. While she's a totally gorgeous mom, she's come a long way from Pretty Woman. Awwwww.

Tyra grabbed herself some paparazzi and hightailed it over to a Manhattan eatery yesterday after Gatecrasher reported that she and Russell Simmons left the restaurant without paying the bill. The two were having brunch with his kids there on Saturday and after fighting over the bill, accidentally left without paying. Tyra stopped by The View to explain the mishap and to get felt up by Rosie. She also made sure to say she left the waiter a hefty tip. Tyra doesn't seem like one to purposefully dine and dash, so we're happy to see that she went back and paid up. We wonder if she'll make Russell pony up for his share!

Paris expanded her brood of pets by evidently picking up two stray kittens at Pet Depot in Westwood this week. Maybe she's looking for some more friends who won't judge her. Rumor is Paris got royally dissed by Prince while at Club 3121 in Vegas last weekend. In the middle of his performance he apparently invited her on stage. She was elated of course and then once she got up there he handed her the microphone and said, "Let's see if she can really sing." Humiliated, she ran off stage and left the club two songs later. To give Prince credit, he was actually giving her a chance to redeem herself. The fact that she didn't sing just kind of says something, doesn't it?
