Beyonce and Jay-Z were having a great time cheering on the Nets as they went up against the Knicks last night at MSG. The two have quite an investment in the Nets - Jay-Z is a partial owner while Beyonce's House of Dereon designed the cheerleaders' outfits. Page Six is reporting that Jay-Z is interested in partnering up with his girl even more and we're not talking wedding rumors. He wants to bring B from Sony over to Def-Jam records. Here's more:

"Sony has had a bad year - all the hit acts, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and the 'American Idol' kids, are all on BMG," our source said. "They can't afford to lose Beyoncé. They'll probably mortgage the farm to keep her. Which means a lot more money for Beyoncé - and Jay-Z if they get married."
Sounds like the two of them are going to make out either way - no wonder they're in such good spirits. Well, that and the Nets beat the Knicks 104 to 95!

Jessica's boytoy John may be starting a Canadian leg of his tour tonight, but last night her girls were down to hang out at Element in LA. And hang out they did. For real. At least she was on top of it enough for a little emergency tuckage to ensure that there wasn't a huge slip. She may have been flying sans John, but I have a feeling she won't be Mayerless for long. Those two don't seem to spend much time apart and ever since we got a little glimpse into what makes these two fit together so well -- I can't say I blame 'em!

After recent rumors that she was unhappy with her manager Larry Rudolph, she's apparently giving him the boot. The pop star reunited with Larry after her split with Kevin and she blames him for encouraging her to hang out with Paris leading to the pantyless partying and massive fallout with her fans last year.
Unfortunately, firing the man who helped make her famous may not be easy, as she is probably going to see some legal issues for breaking her contract. The good new is that Britney was finally smart enough to re-hire PR powerhouse Leslie Sloane Zelnick to help get things back on track. This really is the best Britney news we've heard in ages.
Contrary to recent rumors, there looks to be no trouble in paradise for Jessica and Cash, but that doesn't mean she can't make time for another man in her life -- her pit bull Bowie, of course. Jessica and her adorable pooch showed off their fierce moves posing for photographer/former model Ellen von Unwerth at a photoshoot in LA this week. Looks like this Jessica may be giving another Jessica a run for her girl-posing-with-dog money this week. Just for pure cute puppy loving, I gotta say that Alba's getting my vote right now.
Last night the stars of the country music world were honored by their fans at the CMT Awards in Nashville. AI contestants Kellie Pickler and Bucky Covington were there and we are really NOT digging Kellie's new look. The always adorable Carrie Underwood glowed in orange and scored 3 awards for her song "Before He Cheats." Carrie has obviously come a long way since winning American Idol 2 years ago, saying "It was at the CMT awards last year that I gave my first acceptance speech ever. It's been such an amazing and blessed two years." Carrie was also one of the many performers of the night, along with Bon Jovi, Martina McBride & Rascal Flatts.
