Last night we watched the final 7 but it should have been the final 2. Blake and Melinda were by far the most entertaining and talented. Sanjaya is not worth even talking about. Poor Bonnie Raitt. She must have been so bummed to hear her song so butchered. The most noteworthy part of the evening was when Chris Richardson sent condolences to the VA Tech families. Simon was caught on camera rolling his eyes. Thankfully (more for FOX, Idol, and their sponsors) Simon sent his condolences as well on behalf of the judges and then explained why this might have been an off week for the contestants. Even better, today Simon is saying he's horrified about the eye roll and that he was reacting to Chris' nasal comment. We're actually glad he said something today since we knew that was a totally inappropriate reaction even for Simon.
As for the bottom three, I am predicting Chris, LaKisha and Phil even though we all know Sanjaya should be at the top of this list. For a more detailed recap of the show click here and don't forget to vote on who you think is leaving tonight.
Fresh off her quick trip to Japan, Lindsay was back on the club scene hitting up recent favorite LA hotspot Winstons this week. Not only did that recent stint in rehab not curtail her partying ways, but she's back to giving her special brand of totally strange interviews. In the most recent one with Allure, she talks rehab, partying and her desires to lay low. We'll believe that last part when we see it. Here are highlights:
- On feeling protective of her loved ones:
"When my friends and family are around me I feel like they're safe . . . When my friends have left me - I've just seen everything collapse. They're not safe without me."
- On partying post-rehab:
"That's my life!" She also compared herself to Marilyn Monroe and claimed to be shocked she ended up needing treatment: "It's so weird that I went to rehab. I always said I would die before I went to rehab."
- On her public life:
"Everybody's tired of hearing things about me and them . . . I think it's just better for me to lie low and get better."
Clearly even Lindsay isn't sure exactly what she wants from herself -- partying every night or laying low? Maybe she should get herself one of these t-shirts? As for protecting her friends, we really have no idea what that even means! Either way it sounds like LL is definitely back to her old self.

See, Avril would be named Worst Dressed of the Day, but that wouldn't be doing justice to her eye make-up. Obviously Avril is going for that I've only just this week been allowed to choose my own outfits so I'm wearing my tutu with my Doc Martin's and no one is going to stop me thing (haven't you heard Girlfriend? She's a "mother [bleep]ing princess"). Otherwise, perhaps she should stop shopping for her record release party outfits at the costume store. Also, was getting all primped and preened a little much for Av? Girlfriend looks tired.

Jessica Simpson put the girls away and hiked up her pants for dinner with some friends in LA last night, but don't go thinking her famed assets won't be strutting their stuff around town soon enough. In fact, Jessica's next gig will be all about shaking what the good lord gave her. According to Us Weekly, Jessica is slated to be the next celeb to host a special performance by the Pussycat Dolls at their burlesque themed Las Vegas nightclub on May 4.

Apparently this is a chance for her to be "sexy again" (you know, since she has such trouble with that after all) and show off her moves. Judging from how ridiculous Denise looked on her night, Jessica's should be pretty risque. Hopefully John will get a moment off from his tour to watch his girl perform. Cause something tells me another important man in her life, Papa Joe, wouldn't miss it for the world.

Not one to give up on television yet, a slightly graying Freddie Prinze Jr. is on the set filming a pilot called Atlanta. In the sitcom, a man hits it off with a woman he meets at a funeral. While that may not sound hilarious, it also includes the cute Leslie Bibb (Popular, Crossing Jordan) and it was written by Paul Reiser and directed by Harold Ramis. I know I was like one of 10 people who actually liked ABC's Freddie so I can't wait to see him back on the small screen. Meanwhile, we're still curious about his wife, Sarah, whom last we saw was looking a little bit pregnant on vacation in Cabo. She seems to have gone MIA since then.

I'm certainly no doctor, but something seems fishy about Mandy Moore's plastic broken-foot boot wearing. I mean two weeks ago she was wearing it and talking about her injury. While last week she was around town with her new gentlemen caller, no unwieldy plastic boot in sight. Now she's back at LAX and back in the boot. Maybe she just wanted to take off the medical gear to celebrate her birthday with her new man friend (or get to board the plane early - ha). Thrilling stuff, I tell ya. Mandy's album doesn't come out until June, but she seems to be in full PR mode already. Hope that her foot completely heals soon -- I expect to be seeing a lot of her from here on out.
