Brooke had fun joking around with her daughter Rowan while out for afternoon tea in Santa Monica this week. Brooke just finished shooting the pilot for Candace Bushnell's Lipstick Jungle where she plays a high powered movie exec. If this show does for Brooke what Sex and the City did for SJP then Brooke has quite a lot to look forward to (including a fabulous wardrobe). When asked if she could relate to her new character Brooke says absolutely. She told Life Magazine:
I relate to not apologizing anymore for my power. Women are taught to undermine it, because it’s so threatening. But I don’t have to be self-deprecating anymore to be funny or to be liked.
Obviously she's been able to rise above it and get cast in one of the most talked about new shows of next season. Hopefully Lipstick Jungle will be able to fill the gaping void that Sex and the City left behind but that's a very hard challenge.

We usually save all Olsen related posts for Molly, but she's busy blogging about her vacation and missing out on some serious Olsen leg. Okay, sure, it's not Olsen teeth but it's still not something we get to see very often. Ashley was obviously trying to cool off from the warm LA weather this week by showing some leg and downing lots of refreshing Starbucks. She is also displaying her waitress talents by balancing those drinks with her huge bag. Nice work Ash, we bet you're making Molly proud.

Lauren Conrad hit Le Deux this weekend with the Chanel bag her ex-boyfriend and frequent delinquent, Jason Wahler gave her back in 2005. The good new is she may have moved on to a new ex-reality star - AI's Chris Richardson. Hopefully a new boy can help LC forget about those sex tape rumors, especially now that Jason was arrested for the 4th time in nine months this weekend. Poor LC. Having the media drag up the past is never fun, but Jason isn't making it any easier by consistently proving what a loser he is. In any event, all this drama can only mean more viewers will be tuning in to the 3rd season of The Hills.

Well, that was quick! Kirsten and British rocker Johnny Borrell have called it quits after only 3 weeks. Apparently he decided to get back with his ex-girlfriend, singer Fabiola Gatti. We're betting it won't be too long until she finds herself another floppy-haired rocker type to take his place.

Beyonce got a warm welcome when she arrived this week in Japan to kick off her world tour. She has so much stuff going on, it's amazing she can keep all of it straight. She just released a Spanish edition of B'Day and she has a video album on the way as well. It includes a dozen music videos and 8 of them are new. In addition to that she decided to change up her band for her upcoming world tour. Here's more:
"I know growing up, I wish it was more female bands that I could have looked up to....And I feel like, if there were, I probably would have played an instrument. My instrument is my voice. I wish I could play something else. So I had the idea of getting together all of these women and I knew it was a lot of talented women that never got the opportunity. So I held worldwide auditions (this past summer) and found all of these talented women."
Sounds like Jay-Z won't have to worry about Beyonce getting flirty with any of the help! Not that she would anyway. She doesn't have time!

Christina and Jordan took her little brother Mikey to the Yankees vs. Devil Rays game at Yankee Stadium the other day. Who would have thought a few years ago that Christina would turn out to be such a positive role model? Now she's doing even more by continuing to advocate against domestic violence. She has joined Nicole Kidman in a new End Violence Against Women campaign and has shot a PSA that she airs before her Back to Basic shows. She's spoken out a lot against the issue in the past and this is just one more way to get her message out there. It's much better than the dirrrty Xtina if you ask me.
