The long (loooong) wait for the end of the 6th and final season of the Sopranos is finally almost over, and the stars of the hyper popular show were out on the red carpet yesterday to celebrate. Even as a casual Sopranos fan, it's sad to see the end of the phenomenon on the horizon. I can only imagine that it's quite bittersweet for the legions of fanatics. For a sneak peek of the highly secret upcoming season, which premieres April 8, just click here.

All the women looked gorgeous at the NY premiere party -- Jamie Lynn's dress in particular was stunning -- and the men showed that their characters aren't the only sharp dressers (you know, other than the track suit uniform). It's also nice to see Drea on the carpet even though Adriana kicked it last season. Perhaps there's a dream sequence/flashback in the cards?

It's been all quiet on the Jolie-Pitt front since Angelina, Maddox, Z and little Pax returned from Vietnam, but just because the family is (briefly) out of the spotlight doesn't mean the tabloids aren't going to create cover stories. This week's US is covering Angelina's decision to go back to work after announcing that she would be a stay at home mom. This somehow means she's living a "twisted double life." Plus there are secret fights! I guess they're not so secret anymore...

Life & Style, on the other hand, has a much more movie-ready story. They're claiming that a gang was planning to kidnap Pax and hold him for ransom with a threat of death if the movie stars didn't pay up. We can understand why the magazines want Brad and Angie on their covers but isn't there anything else going on in Hollywood? At this point we're betting Brad and Angie are experts at letting all these entertaining stories roll off their backs.
Hilary was surprisingly smiley after co-hosting TRL yesterday especially considering she had just had her first run-in with Joel since their break-up last November. We had a feeling that the TRL she hosted and he performed on may have been a bit awkward, and as Hilary admitted, she certainly was a little worried. Here's more:

"I just did TRL today and Joel was there, and it was the first time we'd seen each other and it was so, like, nerve-racking," Duff, 19, told PEOPLE Monday at the 18th annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York City. "I knew that he was going to be there and he knew. It is what it is."
So was their run-in awkward? "It was a little strange at first, but I wish nothing but good for him and I know that he wishes the same for me," Duff told PEOPLE. "I'm happy and he's happy and I think that's all that counts."
We're impressed with Hilary's composure and positive attitude towards her ex, but this girl has so much going for her, we wouldn't be surprised if she finds a more fitting Joel replacement soon.

Judging by Paris and Josh's very public canoodling outside Koi last night, the two are going strong after their first week as a couple. Heck, Paris even took him to Vegas over the weekend (which really isn't saying much). The two seem like a match made in celebrity fake relationship heaven: She's famous, he wants to be. Elliot Mintz, however, disagrees that these are Josh's intentions, saying he "treats Paris with great respect and dignity. He is not a 'Hollywood guy.' Paris seems very comfortable around him." It doesn't seem like it takes much for Paris to feel comfortable around a guy, but best of luck to the new couple -- may their love last as long as they want the publicity!

Jessica and Cash hung out in Hollywood this week looking Sunglassesed and effortlessly cool. At least Jess was more refreshed (and a little less bedraggled than she has recently). Perhaps some Cash was all she needed. Boring as they may be, at least they've been dating longer than 15 minutes, which is more than can be said about the gentlemen callers of most of her contemporaries. Though (and honestly, Cash seems like a decent dude), putting Jessica in the Single Hollywood Starlet mix would give those other ladies a run for their money! Anyway, awww, they're such a cute couple! Rainbows!

Last week, Christina celebrated the 8th anniversary (and her cover) of Nylon magazine in NYC. It seem as if she is debuting the latest version of her constantly made over image. We weren't a huge fan of her dirrty days but we did get behind her 50s pin up brand. In the magazine Xtina talks about her standard fare -- how she and her music have evolved and how she's grown to become one of most empowered women in the industry. Here are highlights:

- On the Dirrty controversy:"Dirrty was my take on coming of age. It was a song about being free of any inhibitions and just letting it all out and cutting lose. I had so much fun on that video and I felt so empowered. If anything, I look back and realize that the greatest thing about it was that no matter what your opinion was on it, people were talking about it."
- On making her third album :"I think in order to really make something special and heartfelt I need to take time with it. I don't want to jeopardize the outcome by trying to rush through it to make the label happy because they have something to sell. I like to take a minute and get to know the woman that I've grown into from record to record. And for this one in particular I wanted to research and get into that whole world. I really wanted to explore it all, and just live it. Not just sing the songs, but really feel a part of it."
- On being a strong woman in a man's world: "I'm extra sensitive and have my dukes up because I witnessed a lot of shit in my household with my father and mother, and I wanted to make sure that I was never going to feel powerless or helpless to a man. That's why I think I do have this overconfidence with my sexuality because I feel empowered by it, and I love being in control of every facet of what I do."
While we love the strong, empowering message she is trying to send, we do feel like we've heard a lot of this interview before. That and the naked Sunday thing seem to be her favorite things to talk about these days. Perhaps she likes to change her look but keep her answers the same in her many interviews. Well at least she's consistent. To see more pics of Christina looking different and for more of the article, just read more
