This morning we had a not so great Suri sighting but now we have even better pics to share! Tom and Katie are looking a little spacey - maybe they're reflecting on the past. Did you know that at an early age, Tom joined a seminary in order to become a priest? If you did, (or even if you didn't) - join us tomorrow for the "Before They Were Stars" edition of Pop Trivia at an all NEW time - 12 p.m. Pacific. Come play for a chance to score a fabulous PopSugar t-shirt. Just click here at noon. See you there!
Oh Elisha Cuthbert. I know this isn't the first time that she's hung out with Paris, nor do I assume it will be the last, but this story which insinuates that this weekend Paris "taught" the 24 star how to properly shop can't be a good sign. Having Paris as a teacher, no matter what the subject, is not excellent. I've liked Elisha since her role in the underrated The Girl Next Door and really wish her success, despite being the inspiration for JT's What Goes Around (that must be very ouch), so this Best Friend turn of events is unsettling. And hopefully very, very temporary. So I'm pulling for you, Kim Bauer, to get your leg out from that virtual bear trap that is a friendship with Paris Hilton. Fingers crossed you'll get out of this one unscathed.
Kirsten is back in LA after getting in some much needed R&R in Hawaii. Hopefully all that boogie boarding, kayaking, smoking and searching for God was just what she needed to get back into the swing of things. We just read about why it's important for her to take breaks, now let's learn about the guys. In the W article she dishes about being Mary Jane and what she looks for in a man. Here's more:
On playing Mary Jane in Spiderman:
"If that brings somebody else that much joy, I'm happy to be in this business," she announces. "When I'm an old lady, I'm going to have my pick of the young men," she adds with a grin. "They'll be like, 'She's Miss Mary Jane!' The young boys will think I'm a hot old lady."
On dating:
"I don't want to get into any of that because I don't want to ruin my life," she says. "I'm done talking about anybody until I'm married." As for dating: "I'm a person who likes to hang out. I would never go on a blind date. That sounds like the most uncomfortable thing on the planet earth. It's like, 'Hi. Nice to meet you. So, what kind of music do you like?' Date ended." The type of man she imagines she'll end up with? "I need to eat a piece of pizza on a stoop in New York, and I cannot be with anybody fancy."
People give this girl such a hard time but she seem so normal. Who doesn't hate blind dates? I think a slice on the stoop sounds perfect! For more picks of Kirsten out and about in Beverly Hills just read more
Britney has been in rehab for almost 3 weeks now (I know time flies, even during slow gossip weeks). While Britney buzz has quieted down a bit, more bad news has surfaced regarding a particular video. While the details are unconfirmed, apparently the video shows Britney engaging in some inappropriate partying with those club dancers she borrowed a bikini from about a month ago. R&M reports:
The asking price for the shots - which show Britney playing dress-up with two dancers at New York's nightclub One Feb. 12 - currently hovers at $150,000. But even more damaging is video footage that may follow - Britney's dancer buddies are telling friends that the club let them go when management discovered a security video of them doing some serious partying with the mother of two.
"The manager said there was a tape of them," said our spy. "Both the girls cried about it when they got fired, but they didn't deny it."
A rep for the club told us the dancers were "absolutely not fired" and that there weren't any cameras in the area behind the coat check where Spears and her new friends went to change into fishnets and bikinis.
But our spy insisted, "Yes there are. There's a camera above the office back there that can see that whole room."
Said another source, "If that thing goes on the Internet, there's going to be big trouble. It might be what they need to take [Spears'] kids away from her."
We hope for Britney's sake that this doesn't turn out to be another incident like Paris Exposed. The last thing the fragile pop star needs right now is another cause for further breakdown.
In the dark times of year, a.k.a. when there is no Project Runway (henceforth known as ProjRun), little glimmers of Heidi Klum hope brighten up even the dreariest Winter day. This weekend she hammed it up on the red carpet to promote "Drei Wetter Taft" hairspray in Germany. But seriously, speaking of ProjRun, open casting calls are coming right up and if I had a creative bone in my body, I would try out, but since I don't I will remain content watching those who can on the TV. The show is months away and I'm already excited (to hear Heidi's accent). Carry on.
Could it be that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony will no longer be making music together? The couple has been married for 1010 days (yes popbytes is actually counting for us) but the end may be near. Apparently there have been lots of fights and no story about Jennifer would be complete if the whole pregnancy thing wasn't an issue either. Page Six reports:
JENNIFER Lopez and Marc Anthony are lovey-dovey in public, but insiders say they've hit a rough patch in their marriage. "There was a fight on New Year's Eve," said a source who saw Lopez that night. Another spy said, "There was a fight after she performed at the Super Bowl, and when she had an album-listening party in Miami two months ago, there was an issue." According to this source, Lopez stood up and talked about her upcoming album and said, "This is my dream and Marc and I worked so hard on this album . . . Marc, would you like to say something?" - to which Anthony coldly said, "No," and looked away. One of the issues is that Lopez is said to be putting off pregnancy - he has four kids with two other women - and Anthony is very interested in Scientology. But a friend of both said, "They fight, sure, but everyone fights." A rep for Lopez said, "They're fine."
While we are not a huge fan of them together, we actually thought J Lo had met her match with her third husband. I guess when you are actually aging backwards you may want to leave your options open anyway.
Rihanna bundled up for her appearance on The Late Show and looked perfectly chic while waving to her New York fans. She kept things simple in all black but mixed patterns and textures to create a unique look.
