Rumor has it that Mr and Mrs. Cruise -- babies, no matter how cute, not allowed -- will be in attendance at the Oscars this Sunday (styled by Victoria Beckham, too), so here's to hoping that Ryan Seacrest doesn't say anything too awkward on the red carpet. Being a mom I can't get enough of these two but I can see how some of you may be sick of the weekly progress of Violet Affleck's child development. By now you know she is walking and has a bunch of teeth. She clearly loves her playtime with mom at the park. While this may be boring to some, it's definitely more beautiful than the recent train wreck we are witnessing with our fav pop star so we're happy to take a break from the drama to witness something normal and adorable.

With last night, the first eliminations of season 6, the best part of American Idol is officially underway. This year they seem to have lined up some amazing guest performers. Rumors are swirling that Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney and even Victoria Beckham may be on the hit show but a few fabulous ladies have recently been confirmed as definite guests. Both Gwen and J Lo are planning on hitting the stage! If we're lucky, we'll get to see little Kingston in the audience to watch his mom. So far this season of AI has sucked me in but with huge acts Gwen on March 28th and Jennifer on April 11th we have another reason to tune in.

Aw look, it's everyone's recent favorite, old-timey George! This time joined on-set by less-obviously old-timey, Renee! As Rachael Ray would annoyingly exclaim, how cool is that? (Answer: Medium cool.) While getting to see their film Leatherheads may still be months away, we'll at least get a special glimpse of tux-adoed (Father of the Bride style) Clooney at this weekend's Oscars. Here's to his totally taking advantage of the mandatory last year's winner this year's presenter position by talking it up with some up-and-comers backstage. Fingers crossed we'll get to see him cozy up with someone cool.

That you wasn't as fun. Anyway, considering how tumultuous her early life was, it's always fun to see how grounded Drew ended up. When Robert Altman died last fall, Lindsay said she was so distraught she felt as if she just had the wind knocked out of her. Hmm, yet for some reason she skipped out on the memorial service that took place earlier this week. Turns out partying with Steve-O was more important. It seems like an odd choice of priorities for Lohan, who claimed the director "was the closest thing to my father and grandfather that I really do believe I've had in several years." A source sneered, "If he was so important to her, where was she?"

Hey, maybe the invite to the memorial service got lost in the mail when trying to find her in rehab. She was only released last week, after all. We're not sure why Lindsay chose to skip the service, but we certainly hope that it isn't a sign of what's to come. Lindsay has been hitting up the clubs every night since she got out of rehab and Steve O is not exactly a good influence for a 12 stepper trying to get her life in order! Hopefully she will slow down or she's going to end up right back where she started.
