Oscar nominees gathered for a luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel yesterday. Talk about networking. This was a room full of hopefuls that also have the power to create the best in Hollywood. However for this event apparently all egos are put aside. You know the drill; they are all just honored to be nominated. As for the big event, well this just reminds us we are this much closer to the big day so fill out your ballot now! Did we mention there are prizes? This is the Oscars people so you know they are going to be good!
You can tell there are no nerves at this event. The nominees are at ease and looking fabulous. Love how pretty Penelope looks in all white and the boys cleaned up pretty well also. Just a few short weeks ago Justin Timberlake was keeping warm with Jessica Biel at Sundance. This was after initial reports that JT was getting hot with Scarlett Johansson and she may have even been the reason that Cameron and JT split. Justin loves the laid back yet active girl like Jessica but Scarlett brings more then sexy back and hell they are both winners of the Sexiest Woman Alive title. No wonder he can't decide. In Touch is reporting that Scarlett got to be JT's date at the Super Bowl this weekend. Here's more:
“They spent the whole weekend together,” an insider tells In Touch. The pair — who reportedly had a fling after she starred in his video “What Comes Around…” — met up at his bungalow in the Delano hotel at around 3:00 a.m. on February 4, a witness tells In Touch. Later that night, after the Indianapolis Colts won the championship, Justin and Scarlett were spotted at an exclusive after-party at Mokai. “They were dancing and whispering in each other’s ears,” an onlooker says. “They were having a really good time together.” At 3:30 a.m. on February 5, the pair snuck out the back door holding hands and headed back to the Delano for the night. Although Jessica is still in the picture, an insider says, “Justin and Scarlett are totally back on.”

Seems like everyone who's anyone (and not in Miami or NY) was at Hyde this weekend, including one Ms. Christina Aguilera. She's not usually one to be hitting up the hotspots, not with Hiltonesque urgency at least, but it's nice to see that it's possible to go out in LA and not embarrass yourself in any way. Red nails, red lips, and bangin' red shoes. Hot. Seriously though, she should really be the spokesperson for whatever brand of red lipstick she wears all the time.
Jessica Simpson may be famous and gorgeous, but she's also human. Shocking, I know. Not usually one to talk about her personal life (you know, after that first experiment with voyeurism didn't go so hot), it's exciting to see that she opened up about her feelings --yes, even those associated with a certain Lachey and his VJ of choice -- in the March issue of Elle. Here's highlights:
"Oh, it hurt me," Simpson tells Elle in its March issue. "Two or three weeks later? Yeah, I'd say it kind of hurt me."
But Simpson, 26, says she's still in touch with Lachey, 33. "He's so much a part of my life, how could I not be? Any guy who's going to be with me from this day forward has to understand that."
"I want to tell you everything, but I have to sew my lips together," she says. "It's hurt me in the past." (Still, a glimpse of her e-mail inbox reveals a block of about 10 e-mails from Mayer, including one with the subject line, "Texas girl.")
Though, as a not-so-closeted Simpson supporter, it's hard to admit that she and Nick are better off apart. It finally seems, however, as if they've both found their better paths. Sound mature?
