OMG guys, Drew Barrymore is so Jane! She was their first ever cover girl, after all. It's been a long, strange trip for Drew since her Jane debut back in 1997, but she'll be the first to tell you that though she's got more wisdom and maturity, she'll always be the same free spirit at heart. Here's a preview of the interview:
ON FLASHING DAVID LETTERMAN ON NATIONAL TV…“I’m thrilled I did that, but no way would I do it now. Man, I was such a sexual, free, f*cking nudist little bird running around. I love it. I’m still sensual, but I’m much more modest now. But I think I’ll always be a bit of a wood nymph when it comes to sexuality. It’s like, ‘F*ck it, be free and have the most fun you can.’ ”
ON HAVING A FAMILY AND GETTING OLD…“I would definitely like to have a family one day. I don’t know when or with who, but I don’t picture myself alone and bitter…When I get old, I am not going to be wearing polyester pants. I’m going to wear old Levi’s and Birkenstocks. And hopefully I’ll have enough hair to wear braids.”
ON WHAT SHE WANTS HER KIDS TO BE LIKE…“I would love for them to become adults who have a positive effect whether that’s through kindness or if they are scientists or humanitarians or entertainers … if they give something back. The last thing I want is a selfish child.”
ON HER FRIENDS…“Beyond any [romantic] relationship I’ve ever had, my friends are the ones who have been consistent rocks in my life. They make me feel like everything will be okay.”
Oh Drew, you crazy lovable adorable hippie, we loved little nudist you and we love more put-together you, too. We love all the yous. Other than when you were married to Tom Green. That you wasn't as fun. Anyway, considering how tumultuous her early life was, it's always fun to see how grounded Drew ended up. She's the perfect lesson of how to make it work after being so out of control at such a young age. Are you listening, starlets?
When Robert Altman died last fall, Lindsay said she was so distraught she felt as if she just had the wind knocked out of her. Hmm, yet for some reason she skipped out on the memorial service that took place earlier this week. Turns out partying with Steve-O was more important. It seems like an odd choice of priorities for Lohan, who claimed the director "was the closest thing to my father and grandfather that I really do believe I've had in several years." A source sneered, "If he was so important to her, where was she?"
Hey, maybe the invite to the memorial service got lost in the mail when trying to find her in rehab. She was only released last week, after all. We're not sure why Lindsay chose to skip the service, but we certainly hope that it isn't a sign of what's to come. Lindsay has been hitting up the clubs every night since she got out of rehab and Steve O is not exactly a good influence for a 12 stepper trying to get her life in order! Hopefully she will slow down or she's going to end up right back where she started.
Hayden Christensen may be best known for his work in Star Wars Episodes 1-3, but there's so much more to this predominately indie actor's repertoire. Beyond his good looks (awesome photo shoot much?), there's a driven young man who isn't just working for the paycheck. And in the cover story for the most recent issue of the Canadian men's magazine, Toro, two of his recent costars are quick to attest to that fact. Here's more:
From Jessica Alba: "He's so warm and loving and sweet. And not an egomaniac or egotistical or anything like that...there are a lot of actors out there -- they like to be famous and they like to act like movie stars, and all that, and it doesn't feel like that's what Hayden's goal is."
From Kevin Kline: "He's a regular, not to say he's not extraordinary and special, but...he's a man. He's not some sort of aberrant, artsy-fartsy, self-absorbed, phony, pathetic, neurotic, attention-seeking...whats the word -- freak. I mean, he's the real thing."
Hayden seems like a sweetheart and these glowing peer reviews don't hurt any. I must say, though, I'm mostly excited to see his next big movie, Jumper, which looks to be pretty awesome (you know, not that it has anything to do with his co-star in the movie, Rachel Bilson). Aw, Bilson or not, Hayden is someone I certainly can't wait to see (and hear, isn't his voice hot?) more of in the future.

Jessica Biel certainly doesn't need to do any extra work to get herself Oscar ready -- the girl is always in outstanding shape. She must be excited, though, because this weekend will be her first time on stage at the Oscars! She's just a presenter, but maybe someday soon she'll be holding one of those coveted little gold men of her very own.
Hey, don't forget to fill out your Oscar ballot (The show is only three days away!). The Grand Prize winner will receive a Prada bag while runners-up will get $50 to $500 gift cards from Neiman Marcus, Sephora and The Apple Store. For official rules click here. Happy voting!

Selma and boyfriend/writer/Toxic video star Matthew Felker had a romantic dinner out at Madeo's in West Hollywood the other night. It sounds like Selma may have more time to spend with her hot man these days, as she's taking a break from making movies. The recently divorced actress is clearly at a turning point in her life and unlike some other famous natural blondes who are changing their look; Selma handles a makeover with class. While her new do was initially shocking to us, we now think Selma looks confident and cool. Someone should be taking notes.
