Hilary has definitely come a long way since starring in The Next Karate Kid and Beverly Hills 90210. At the age of 32, she's already won two Oscars and is considered one of Hollywood's top actresses. Things aren't always perfect for the actress. Besides recently going through a divorce she also says she felt like an outsider as a child. In the March issue of Marie Claire magazine Hilary talks all about life, love and becoming an award-winning actress. Here's more:
- On her motivation to become an actor
"As a kid I felt like such an outsider. I didn't belong. I fought for my place in the world. And part of what brought me to being an actor is that I would watch movies and there would be characters I could relate to. I felt my place within that, within them."
- On her divorce [to actor Chad Lowe]
"In life we have expectations of how things should turn out... Ending my marriage isn't something I take lightly. But it was the right thing to do."
- On her intense personality
"People do call call me intense. I can see why. I can. But, I don't like the word 'intense'—I prefer 'focused," she says. "I am a lay-it-on-the-table kind of girl. No nonsense. I'd rather have honest relationships, because life is too short to beat around the bush. Honesty shows that you really care about someone. I live by that."
Next up Hilary will once again show us just how intense focused she can be in The Reaping where she plays a Christian missionary who loses her faith. Sounds like someone's going for another Oscar!

So, here's the deal. Either Katherine is wearing a fur-lined jacket while helping out at this dog adoption drive, which is an interesting, if not a little ironic, choice. Or, Katherine is wearing a faux fur-lined jacket while helping out at this dog adoption drive and apparently didn't get the memo that much of the faux fur out there is actually made of dog, which is pretty freaking ironic*, if you ask me. Cute dogs, anyway.

* I think that counts. Damn you, irony, and your oft misunderstood but ultimately convoluted definition.

Parker Posey looks pretty ca-yute in this here photo shoot, but they totally remind me of my high school yearbook senior portrait shoot. Instead of your usual grayish blue backdrop (or, if you were feeling bold, the lasers!) the photographers took us outside to pose in the "nature" (read: small patch of grass directly outside designated photo room). Anyhow, heeerrreee's Parker's Glamour Shots. I think I prefer the non-grandmother-y dress to its counterpart. Also, I enjoy me some Ryan Adams, but I gotta say she's looking great since leaving his alt-countryness behind.

After the tragic news early this afternoon, we know tons of you are wondering what will become of the many loose ends in Anna Nicole Smith's life. Here is a quick look at what has emerged as of yet:
- The autopsy is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
- Anna's Lawyer/Husband/Boyfriend Howard K. Stern has yet to make a statement.
- At the time of Anna's death, she was with her nurse. Her bodyguard was also there and performed CPR on her before the paramedics arrived.
- Her infant, whose paternity is still in question, Dannielynn is currently in the Bahamas in the care of a friend.
- Larry Birkhead, the ex who claims to be the father of Dannielynn, has not issued a statement, but his lawyer has said that he is "not ok."
- The ramifications this will have on the legal proceedings surrounding her late husband's inheritance have not been discussed at this time.
- For statements from Hugh Hefner, PETA, The Marshall Family, Trimspa, E!, etc, check in with TMZ who are covering every move of this story as it unfolds.
While we are seriously unsettled by this story (and its eerily similar tone to that surrounding her son's death five months ago), hopefully concrete facts will emerge soon so we can get a better read of what actually happened. We will keep you updated.

Yesterday, Joaquin attended a press conference to reintroduce the Department of Peace and Nonviolence Bill. Joaquin may be a staunch activist in his free time, but his film choices don't always reflect his peace-loving beliefs. That is, unless his next film, We Own The Night, co-starring Mark Wahlberg about the Mob in NY is somehow violence-free. For some reason we're thinking that's not the case.

Jessica Simpson seems to be getting some good wear out of her line of fake hair stuffs (unless this is her real hair..who knows, faux hair confuses me). It must be fun for Ken Paves to have a life sized doll whose hair he can change at any whim (you know she's not making these decisions herself). Jessica was pretty pleased, though, when she tricked the photogs stationed outside of Mr. Chows this week by walking right by without being recognized.

I do love me some Jess, but you just know she's totally confused as to where she is when she looks in the mirror with the dark hair.

Posh hit the town with her girlfriends after a quick holiday with David in Nice. Last night she went to her favorite restaurant Nobu with ex-Spice Girls Gerri Halliwell and Emma Bunton. Victoria has been so busy getting ready for the Beckham's big move to LA that she probably hasn't had much time to celebrate Emma's baby news! Victoria may already be living in LA by the time the baby is due in July, but luckily Posh is no stranger to flying. She'll probably be doing a lot of going back and forth once she's stateside.
