Following in the esteemed footsteps of Cheyenne Kimball, Hilary Duff, Jenny McCarthy and Kelly Clarkson (among others, I assume) Fergie Ferg is the new face of Candie's Shoes. The first of her ads have been released and they're...special. Fergie sure does commit herself to working on her fitness (and yes, she's got the boys on rock rock), but it should be noted that the woman photoshops well.

Also, is it just me or is she looking a little Dead in the Eyes in that second picture? Rough.

Gwen continues to wear a wig for her latest Elle cover. She may be considered a fashion icon and sex symbol now but apparently things weren't always that way for Stefani. She admits to struggling with her weight and even says she was chubby as a child. Here's highlights:

- On her baby weight:
"I worked out with my trainer throughout my whole pregnancy until about two weeks before. I cried during my last session. I was like, 'I can't breathe, I can't do this anymore. What am I doing?' It was crazy. All my life I had to work hard to stay in shape. I've always struggled with it. I was a little chubby when I was younger, and I didn't want to be that person forever. I became a swimmer at school -- but only because I wanted to be skinner! I'm extremely vain. I like wearing cute clothes."
- On getting her figure back post-pregnancy:
"There aren't any tricks, it's simple math: you put this much food in, you burn that much working out. I gave myself three months -- but if I didn't have an album coming out, there's no way I would have gotten back into shape in that time. I worked out with my trainer five days a week, with weekends off. I would really recommend doing weights. I'm not into yoga and Pilates -- they don't work for me and I don't have the patience. I'm more like a man, I like going to the gym and lifting weights or doing a little boxing."
At least she admits she is vain. Having a trainer and probably a private chef also helps. The best part of the article is when she mentions that Kingston is "the most romantic thing" she and Gavin have done. Their adorable son certainly has been the reason we have been most interested in Gwen lately. For more pics of glam Gwen just read more

Jim Carrey has worn a lot of hats in his career, stunning impersonator, shaggy haired eccentric, slapstick comedian, children's book caricature, and that's just the beginning. In recent years, the man who immortalized the phrase "laces out" has been somewhat of a recluse, with rumors of on-set "diva-like" behavior and "obsessive" tendencies following him from project to project. While he seems to have settled down and found something like love with Jenny McCarthy (over a shared passion for fabulous hair, of course), his past few movies have all been cancelled before coming to life, and his newest film, The Number 23, is independent and dark, hardly a typical Jim Carrey vehicle. In the upcoming Radar Magazine, they break down the mystique of Jim Carrey, and try to answer the question of whether he will ever return to his Dumb and Dumber roots:
- As he [shot a scene in 23], Carrey wrote on walls. He wrote on himself. And then, as the cameras rolled, he unzipped his fly and urinated. That last part wasn't in the script. Perhaps if Carrey weren't himself obsessed with the number 23, or if he didn't have a reputation for being both dark and obsessive, taking a leak on the set would have simply been regarded as an admirable commitment to his role–which is how dirrector Joel Schumacher sees it: "If Brando had done it in the early days, or De Niro, it would now be considered genius because they stayed in character."
- "He's a tough guy to get along with, but he's not a dick," says a writer who's worked with him. "He doesn't kick people so he can feel better about himself."
- "I've never seen a more meticulous re–hearser," adds director Brad Silberling (Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events). What appears to be an off-the-cuff performance "is like choreography.…He spends an unbelievable amount of time at home, alone, rehearsing."
- Whispers about his behavior became painfully public during the filming of his last comedy, 2005's Fun with Dick and Jane, on which Carrey's delays and demands caused the budget to balloon dramatically. Production on the film was so traumatic that Dean Parisot, its genial director, began referring to the project as "Fun with Jane."
As a huge Jim Carrey fan, it's fascinating (if not, at times, troubling) to get a glimpse into his personal struggles with his craft and the feelings of those who have worked closely with him throughout the years. No doubt there will be many different Jim Carreys in the years ahead, and I can't wait to see any of his incarnations. And if I don't see you, good afternoon, good evening and good night.

I love almost everything about the fabulous city of San Francisco -- the beautiful architecture, amazing weather and most importantly the intelligent inspirational people I have met along the way. Unfortunately, that list does not include our mayor, Gavin Newsom. He has reached a new low. The celebrity mayor will be making a statement shortly regarding the scandalous affair revealed this morning. What's worse is that the affair was with Gavin's good friend and campaign manager's wife. Here's more:

Alex Tourk, who served as Newsom's deputy chief of staff before becoming his campaign manager in September, resigned yesterday afternoon after learning from his wife, Ruby Rippey-Tourk, herself a former Newsom staffer, that she and the Mayor had a short-lived affair about a year and a half ago. Rippey-Tourk told her husband about the affair as part of her rehabilitation program to overcome substance abuse. At the time of the affair, Newsom was in the process of divorcing his ex-wife, Fox News host Kimberly Guifoyle. After learning of the affair, Tourk confronted the mayor, expressed his feelings about the situation, and resigned. Newsom is expected to make a statement on the situation later this morning.
Let's just say we are not surprised. As one of my girlfriends said, we already have a mayor who spends more time doing his hair then we do, so you know there's a problem there. It would be great if he could concentrate on getting the homeless off the streets instead of bedding his good friend's wife.

Denise and Richie jetted off for a vacation in Honolulu this week for a little fun in the sun. She must have been needing some R&R after wrapping up Blonde and Blonder last week, her movie with Pamela Anderson. The film is about two beautiful blondes who are mistaken as international mob killers. Yes, sounds like Oscar gold, especially after Pamela recently said that she prefers to call the film "Two Stupid B*tches."

Rumors are still swirling about an Italian wedding this summer for Denise and Richie. The way these two are looking together, we doubt they'll be able to wait that long! Besides, Denise looks beach body and bride ready. After two kids she still looks like that hot bond girl. Can't say the same for Richie. For more pics just read more

Michael Lohan is keeping it classy and functional as usual by communicating with his daughter Lindsay through the mass media. Here's to airing personal messages totally unnecessarily. Obviously, his avenues to communicate with Lindsay are slightly blocked, but we can't imagine that he has to make them this public. Father Lohan's latest missive from the clink is in support of Lindsay's rehabilitation efforts and contains his advice on how to better her life in the long run. In the past he has directed his thoughts to the NY Daily News, but this time his medium of choice is InTouch. Perhaps he realizes it's the more target audience. Here's more:

Dear Lindsay,
I'm so proud of you in that you are taking back control of your life and putting it back on track like God wants. Now it's time to "clean house," in every sense of the word, and start anew.
As I've always told you Linds, you are blessed and God wants you to use your blessing to set an example and bless others through it as well. - You have such a kind and loving heart, which is more valuable than the world has to offer. You know that, God knows that and so do I - I've seen it in so many tears we've shed on each others' shoulders, through the love, pain and while helping others. Remember the boy in the wheelchair while we attended ABC Primetime at Disneyland, or how about the little girl with cancer at Leigh Valley Hospital? We sow in tears but can reap in joy Lindsay. But it's all up to us. The treasure is in your heart and that's where it belongs.
