Hey, Mischa Barton might not be the b*tch that recent stories would suggest. It was rumored that Mischa spoke openly about her OC character's demise being the reason for the show's tragic cancellation, but we were always dubious about its validity. Now it seems like we were right. TV Guide caught up with Mischa after the Golden Globes and she had this to say:
"It's definitely bittersweet," she told me. "It's too bad. I think it had its run, though. It was great while it lasted. But, of course, I was a little upset for [the cast]." When I asked her whether she felt Marissa's death contributed to the show's premature axing, as die-hard Marissa fans are naturally contending, she took the high road and said, "I have no comment on that. But I am really grateful to the fans. They've been very, very loyal, and that's always been really important to me."
It's certainly nice to hear that Mischa is not as heinous as some people try to make her seem. Other than her questionable choice in boyfriends, she's always struck us as a fairly respectable starlet. M-Bart turns 21 this week, so expect a boozy homegirl out on the town in LA. We can't wait.
Keira is so furious over an article that was published in the Daily Mail about her weight; she's taking legal action. The original article about a girl who had died of anorexia included a shot of Keira on a beach. Keira says the article suggests she has been lying about having an eating disorder. In a statement she said she plans to challenge the article's suggestion that she is to blame for the girl's death by setting a bad example. While we agree Keira's been looking super thin, we can understand why she wants to not be associated with the article.
Losing American Idol hasn't hurt Chris Daughtry any. This weekend he sang the National Anthem at the NFC Championship Game in Chicago. His self-titled debut album reached #2 on the Billboard Top 200 in December and is still at #4 in its 8th week, right behind Justin Timberlake! As if that wasn't enough, Daughtry's It's Not Over is VH1's #1 video this week on the V Spot!
Who knows what other AI "losers" will turn out to be huge stars. To check out Daughtry's video and see more pics just read more
Keri Russell had a lot to smile about at Sundance this weekend, where she attended the premiere of her new indie flick, Waitress. What is even more exciting is that the former Felicity star has just confirmed that she's pregnant with her first child. People reports that the actress and her fiancé Shane Deary will be having their baby this summer. No wedding date has been set so they may be following that latest Hollywood trend of baby before marriage. Stay tuned.
We're happy to see Keri back on the big screen, and wish her congratulations! To see more pics of Keri looking adorable in her hat and scarf, just read more
Ginnifer and Chris are clearly not afraid to show the world how cute they are. When we stumbled across these pics we just about ahhhhed ourselves to death. They're obviously having a great time at Sundance. Chris is there to promote his film The Good Life which co-stars Zooey Deschanel. In the film he plays a scary sociopath, which is definitely a change from the sweethearted jock we are used to seeing. Looks like he's trying to keep from being typecast (or trying to break away from it).
Singer and actress Selena Gomez posed for pictures at the 2009 American Music Awards with a pretty pink smile on her face. She took advantage of the occasion and went glam; wearing a Talbot Runhof sequin dress with black strappy heels.
