Denise had quite a roller coaster of a year in 2006, but things are looking up for the actress. Last September Denise was spotted wearing a ginormous 9.5 carat diamond ring and the rumor was she and Richie were engaged. Denials were issued but now new rumors arise. Apparently, the couple is planning to get married this summer in Italy. In this weekend's issue of Life and Style they report:
After a nine-month courtship, Richie Sambora and Denise Richards are making it official! A friend of Denise’s tells Life & Style that the couple plan to wed in July in Italy (most likely Milan), where they shared a romantic getaway last summer. But don’t expect a big blowout. Denise, 35, and Richie, 47, are keeping the nuptials low-key with a ceremony of only 50 friends and family, says the pal.
Why will they wed in Milan? “Denise loves it,” says a friend.
Sounds like it won't be quite like Tom and Katie's wedding extravaganza but that doesn't mean Richie is afraid of going all out. For Christmas, he supposedly gave Denise a $125,000 princess necklace full of 2.5 carat diamonds. Wow! Nice gift. We just hope the ink dries from his divorce to Heather before Richie gets remarried.

When looking at the ruggedly handsome yet incredibly sophisticated mug of Clive Owen, the last things that comes to mind are anti-aging creams and under-eye moisturizers but evidently Lancome disagrees. The beauty company has chosen Clive as the face of a new line of men's grooming products. In the works is a fragrance and anti-aging skin-care line. Here's more:
Lancome chose Owen, who stars in Universal's "Children of Men," not because of his tall, dark and handsome look but because of his talent and work ethic, said Odile Roujol, general manager of Lancome International.
"The way he has built his career so far, privileging the quality of the director rather than the high-profile nature of a role, makes us feel very confident in the fact that if he chose to accept this collaboration with Lancome, then it truly means our partnership was meant to be," Roujol said Tuesday in a statement.
Yeah right -- they chose him for his talent and work ethic and not his good looks! Clive is an amazing actor, but do they think we're stupid?

Nicole and Joel went down to Cabo this weekend to have some fun in the sun. Nicole definitely looks a lot healthier in her little bikini. Is it possible that Joel is a good influence on her? I guess that remains to be seen. What we really can't get over is how comfortable they are with each other even though they've only been together a short time. Hopefully Hil's friends are keeping her far away from her computer for the next few days!

Tara headed to Australia to launch the Magic Millions racing carnival. She attended the opening cocktail party at Conrad Jupiters casino looking pretty good in pink. You said Tara was one of your favorite makeovers of 2006 and it's nice to see she's continuing to stick with her new put-together look. Here's more:
"I'm feeling good but I'm tired," Reid told reporters. "It's been a long flight but that was probably the coolest thing, landing in the helicopter."

Asked whether she would have a punt on Saturday at the Gold Coast Turf Club, where Brisbane Broncos pair Karmichael Hunt and Justin Hodges will be her escorts, party girl Reid replied: "I always bet".

Penelope continues to joke about the rumors that her and Salma Hayek are lovers. Letterman sat her down last night and brought up the subject in a round about way. Penelope was talking about her love of photography which prompted David to show the audience a few pics that Penelope had taken of Salma for Interview magazine. This of course led to David delving a little further into their relationship. Here's more:
"That day was funny, because we are both very bossy, but that day I was, like, 'Today, I give the orders,'" she said, describing the day of the photo shoot. "So I put her in a swimming pool for hours and hours. And she behaved really well. She listened to everything."
Then Letterman brought out a photo of Hayek and Cruz on the red carpet at an unnamed event. In the shot, the two actresses were facing away from the camera. Noting Cruz's left hand on Hayek's derrière, Letterman said, "Here's somebody giving her the old hi-ho."
"You know what they've been saying because of that picture?" Cruz asked. "We are like sisters and we have some sense of humor. We did that in front of 100 photographers. And the story now is that we are lovers."
She added, "I'm sorry to say that is not the case."

Lindsay was not making friends while in South Beach during all the New Year's celebrations. She supposedly got into a fight with her good friend Joe Francis, and now we hear about her getting pissed that Michelle Trachtenberg was at the same club she was at and even threatened to kick her ass. Lindsay Lohan startled onlookers when she lashed into Michelle Trachtenberg, who starred on TV as Dawn, the sister of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” according to Star.
The “Mean Girls” star caused a stir at Miami Beach’s Shore Club recently when she spotted Trachtenberg across the room.
“Those two hate each other, and Lindsay started screaming, ‘Get her the [bleep] outta here!” an “eyewitness” told the tab. “She was threatening to get physical and actually fight Michelle, saying, ‘I’ll kick her [bleeping] [bleep]!”
Lohan reportedly left Shore Club shortly after the outburst.
At least LL seems to be sticking to her sober ways. She seems pretty attached to that coffee. Let's hope all the caffeine from that and her Red Bull isn't making her cranky. Perhaps that is why she had an outburst in Miami.
