Jessica and Derek's relationship may be fairly new but that doesn't mean these two are in hiding - especially while on vacation. They're way too athletic for that. When these two are in Puerto Rico instead of getting some R&R they got in some volleyball, paddle ball, and swimming. Nick and Vanessa have only been together for 8 months but in celebrity years that's like forever. They started off trying to keep their relationship under wraps but soon found out it was too hard to hide their feelings. They brought in the New Year with a passionate kiss. And while the rest of the night might have gone downhill after Vanessa had a little too much champagne, it's clear by these pics of the two in Mexico that Nick didn't hold it against her. They obviously have the wherewithal to make it through the bad times that come along with any relationship. And these two are obviously crazy about each other. Hilary and Patrick celebrated the opening of their new film Freedom Writers last night in Westwood. In the film Hilary plays a teacher who attempts to breakthrough to her hardened students at a gang-infested Long Beach high school. Patrick Dempsey plays her husband. Freedom Writers is getting good reviews so far despite its formulaic premise. And Hilary should have no problem thanking her agent at CAA for setting her up with this great film - she's dating him!. We're sure to be seeing more of them together in 2007. The film opens today.

Britney has once again turned to her website to address her crazy, out of control behavior. Yesterday her manager Larry Rudolph said reports of Britney's behavior have been exaggerated. Now Brit is saying the same thing, yet admitting she's not perfect and she is working hard on her new album and her comeback. She also thanks her fans and it sounds like she realizes she doesn't want to lose us. We're glad she wrote a message, now if only she would skip the clubs (stay tuned for more partying pics and a supposed reunion with Paris).
