David is starting the new year right by staying as active as possible. This week he trained with his team Real Madrid and last week he took his family on a fun filled indoor skydiving outing. While we always think of Posh as someone who doesn't like to break a nail, it turns out she likes to get extreme sometimes too and that means going into the wind tunnel wearing a flight suit and goggles. A far cry from the designer clothes she's used to wearing. Here's more:
The former Spice Girl's husband David Beckham had forked out £1,200 to privately hire out the Airkix centre in Milton Keynes - where a 150mph wind tunnel recreates the exhilarating sensation of freefall parachuting. Sons Brooklyn, seven, and four-year-old Romeo spent 20 minutes with their mum and dad lying face-down on tables to learn the parachute manoeuvres before entering the wind tunnel.
"David and Brooklyn were both really good and were going up and down and forward and back and turning like proper skydivers," revealed an insider. "Posh and Romeo had a great time, but weren't as good."
After the 90-minute session the Real Madrid star bought souvenir photos of them all in action. Youngest son Cruz, one, will have to wait a few more years before he can join in the high-octane fun. He was looked after by an aide during the family adventure.
Sounds like their stunt craved friend Tom has rubbed off on them. What a fun way to kick off their new year.
Jennifer Lopez has made another list. First, she was best dressed, and now she is one of People en Espanol's 100 Most Influential Hispanics. Once again, Jennifer is answering our burning questions about having kids. The public just can't get enough of the baby rumors whether it's that she is pregnant or that she's becoming a Scientologist to get pregnant. We know you all are predicting a J Lo baby in 2007 and it sounds like she may want that too. Here's more:
"I come from a strong family, so of course I want to have one," Lopez, 37, tells the magazine. "But," she adds, "I do have my own family: my immediate family, my husband and his children. I get to share in all of that. I am very lucky to have that."
Since she and Anthony wed in 2004, Lopez says her outlook has changed. "I have tried to calm down the past couple of years since I got married. I have actually grown as an artist and as a person. I realized that everything I was doing leaned towards my roots: (The movies) El cantante, Bordertown, Como ama una mujer and a perfume called Deseo (Desire)."
As a result, she says, "It's the most fulfilled I've been. The most content, the most at peace, the most settled that I've been in my whole life." But is there anything else – say, a few kids of her own – that could make her life even better? "You know," she says, laughing, "when you are as blessed as I am, you don't like to push it."
Eva has been pimping L'Oreal for over a year, and now it looks like she has a new company to promote. She just signed up to be the new face of Bebe Sport in 2007. We'll get to see even more of Eva on TV and in print. Life & Style reports:
“Eva will be featured in the company’s new campaign for its sport line, which is sexy and young workout wear and casual clothing,” an insider close to Eva confirms to Life & Style. “She'll be featured in both print ads and TV ads as part of a major marketing campaign. Eva has major mass appeal and can bring the product to a whole new level, and she's gorgeous and looks great in these kinds of clothes.”
We wonder if she'll hit the courts with her fiance in her new workout gear. Maybe a few new outfits will inspire us to go to the gym in 2007.
Matt Dillon seems like he has been around forever. He did his first movie, Over the Edge, when he was only fourteen and he's had a steady film career ever since. After starring in films like The Outsiders and Tex he became a poster boy for the 80s. At the time he said he hated having that label placed upon him, but now that he's in his 40's he's ready to embrace it. Here's more:
QUESTION: You don't seem to have aged in twenty years. You look the same. Was there a period when you were getting type cast as the pretty boy and you couldn't get the meatier roles? Basically, do you hate being a pin up boy?
MATT DILLON: You know it's funny when I was younger I hated it. I hated being called a sex symbol. Now I love it! (Laughs) Bring it on! I don't think I really do look exactly the same.
QUESTION: You're a man now.
MATT DILLON: Exactly. I don't look exactly the same.
QUESTION: What is your secret for staying so young?
MATT DILLON: It's like a two fold thing. There's the physical stuff and then there's the internal stuff. For me, I try to physically stay in shape, and what I mean is that I'm not that consistent but you just don't let yourself go. Some people get to a certain point and they let themselves go.
Well, it doesn't look like Matt will be letting himself go anytime soon. Now if we can only get him back in those muscle shirts he used to wear in the 80s. So lame and yet so hot at the same time! For more pics just read more
Yes we know it is confusing to keep track of which Olsen is which but when dedicating your cover story to one of the twins you would think you would make sure you know the difference. Well WWD uncovered the first MK/Ashley mix-up of the year which took place inside the pages of the January 8th issue of Star. The story questions whether MK is anorexic again but uses a picture of Ashley as one of the examples of the skinny twin. Yes, it's hard to tell the two apart with all their hair dying and everything but come on people, every tabloid publication should have at least one Olsen expert on staff at all times.
Rihanna bundled up for her appearance on The Late Show and looked perfectly chic while waving to her New York fans. She kept things simple in all black but mixed patterns and textures to create a unique look.
