Not to be outdone by Nick and Vanessa's very public NYE kiss, Jessica Simpson and John Mayer celebrated 2007 by "full-on making out" at the Hudson Hotel party thrown by Christina Aguilera. This is the first public acknowledgment of their relationship. Here's more:

A source tells us they are staying together at The Mercer hotel in SoHo.

An insider says: "John has been thrilled that they have been tricking the media, but she doesn't really care. His Christmas present to her was a framed copy of the Us Weekly cover that says 'Dumped: John ditches Jessica.'"

Well, whatever the story, we wonder if John helped Jessica get out of her holiday slump. 2007 has to go better for her than 2006.

Prior to the NYE festivities there had to be other parties for all these people to attend. Luckily, Kritik Clothing had a launch party in South Beach and while the crowd was not a-list, we did just want a reason to post pics of Brody Jenner. He's so cute. Also we think it's great that Hilary was out considering her ex has moved on so quickly. It's nice to see her sister as her support system. As for Kimberly Stewart, she proved once again that she is all class. Her Dad must be so proud.

Jessica Alba was one of the many heating up Miami this New Year's with her beau Cash Warren. The two are still going strong and were even seen recently at Hyde drinking Cristal and kissing and singing along with the music. They're no Adam and Rachel, but they sure are cute together.

Ryan said he wanted a piece of Christina this New Year's but he definitely did not get the kiss he was looking for. Well, what did he expect from a married woman? I must say Christina really impressed me this year. I felt like I was living in a bizarro world where my love for Britney was fading and yet somehow I ended up liking the other blonde pop star. I used to not be such a fan of the red lipstick wearing Dirrty singer but I am loving the married more polished pop star. We hope she stays classier and continues to mature in 2007.

We were wondering if Nicole was going to make it to Vegas to watch her new man DJ. She not only made the trip but she made it clear these two are together. She sure loves DJs. Although Joel is more known for his band and his ex, Hilary, it looks like he may want to have a whole new image in 2007. Nicole looked happy and even healthier as she shimmered in her silver mini dress.

Paris may have been paid a supposed $1 million to judge the Bondi Beach contest but apparently that cost doesn't include her meals. Paris and Kim made the rounds at Paddington's Oxford Street strip and when they stopped to refuel, they seemed to forget one very important thing - paying for their food. Here's more:

SHE is one of the world's richest women, but that didn't stop Paris Hilton skipping out on a $9.80 bill at a Sydney cafe yesterday.

Ms Hilton left a barely nibbled hamburger sitting on a plate at Sloanes Cafe in Paddington and wandered off to continue shopping, having forgotten to pay for a mineral water and a frappe.

In stark contrast, Ms Hilton put her credit card to work at the lingerie store Arianne Lingerie, spending $2750 on stockings, jewellery, a camisole and a U-bra, an undergarment designed for plunging necklines.

"She was really lovely, she didn't even request that I close the doors," said Christene Reedy, whose shop was surrounded by 30 onlookers and paparazzi.

I bet Paris loved people watching her buy lingerie which is why she felt no need for privacy. As for that poor waitress, we hope it was simply an oversight on Paris's part and maybe she'll send her something nice now that word has gotten out about the incident. As for the contest, well it looks like they found a winner and Bondi must be happy with all of the PR Paris generated for them. Oh and even Stavros made the trip.
