Leonardo's is very picky about the films he makes. Maybe that's why before this year he hasn't been in one since The Aviator. Lucky for us - he's in two this year, The Departed and Blood Diamond. Apparently he is just as picky about his jewels as he is about his films. Recently he did a press junket for his latest film where he was asked whether his new film had changed his mind about diamonds. Here's more:
"Well, I don't remember the last time I have," he said. "My mom is the only person that I would buy something like that for, and for a while now she hasn't wanted one. But that isn't to say that people shouldn't buy them."
How can consumers make sure they're not buying conflict diamonds? "From my conversations with Global Witness or Amnesty International, you have to go into the stores and buy these diamonds and ask for a certificate, ask for some sort of authentication that this isn't a conflict diamond," he said. "That's one of the biggest ways that this whole process can be put to a stop."
He also said he and costar Djimon Hounsou spent a lot of time hanging out in muddy swamps while filming the movie. "We would sit there and talk about the different kinds of hot chocolates that you can get in Paris and the croissants. We'd sit there and dream like two weird women about pastries."

We were pretty shocked yesterday to hear that Pam and Kid had decided to call it quits. We really thought they were a good match for each other. They looked so in love for all their weddings and it looks like even their friends are shocked to hear the news. The sudden split made us think some bad event went down but it seems like a fight over Pam's role in Borat was the catalyst. Page Six reports:
... "Bob started screaming at Pam, saying she had humiliated herself and telling her, 'You're nothing but a whore! You're a slut! How could you do that movie?' - in front of everyone. It was very embarrassing.
"Pam thought he could have a sense of humor about the movie. She was in on the gag from the very beginning and loved doing the movie. And on the eve of what was supposed to be a very positive thing, he made it an awful night.
"Ever since that night, it has been icicles between them," the friend relates. "Bob is just a very unhappy and angry man. Pam is very disenchanted and sad. You know, there are reasons why she never married him before. Those reasons disappeared while they were together on a boat in St. Tropez, but she knows now that they never went away. The reality is he is an insecure, angry man."

OK so I will admit it, I'm a sucker for weddings. Even though mine was years ago, I still get excited about dresses, flowers, invitations, etc. If it's wedding related, I'm all over it. So when I heard about ABC's new show Big Day, which is set up sort of like 24 in that the entire season chronicles the events of a couple's wedding day hour by hour (but without the tick tock clock), I was instantly intrigued. The question is, how can a wedding day be anywhere near as suspense-ridden as a bomb that is about to blow up the country? Well, certainly an all-out brawl between mother and daughter regarding Caesar salad and a bitter older sister who sleeps with the best man is just as exciting to some of us as a threat to national security.
The all-star cast includes Marla Sokoloff (The Practice) as Alice, the Bride to Be, sitcom veteran Wendie Malick (Just Shoot Me) as Jane, the Mother of the Bride and Kurt Fuller (Anger Management) as Steve, the Father of the Bride. The groom is super cute Josh Cooke (Four Kings). The writers of the show also wrote What Women Want and 13 Going on 30. I enjoyed the fun fast paced pilot episode and will definitely be tuning in to see where the rest of the season will go. We bet a lot of you must be asking what they will do next season after the couple is already married. Apparently the writers will plan to take us through other special family events like pregnancies, anniversaries or a graduation. Watch the first episode tonight at 9/8c on ABC.
We love seeing celebs do normal things like us. It's not always about partying at Hyde and shopping non-stop. We also love a little variety every once in a while and we feel as though Ethan Hawke has been MIA. Ever since he split from Uma we hear and see a lot less of the actor. Ethan is currently on the big screen in Fast Food Nation. It looks cold out there.

We were excited to report that Nicole is looking to clean up her life and that included firing and hiring some stylists. Nicole cut loose her famous celeb stylist, Rachel Zoe and made it well known that she thought Zoe was a bad influence. Zoe spoke out about the split and said it was a mutual decision but apparently Nicole is angry about something. Nicole used her blog to tell us how she really felt through a not so difficult blind item. Here's what she wrote:

Nicole may not have loved being asked about Keith but she continued to enjoy the success of Happy Feet and put a smile on at the film's premiere in London. Now reports are still circulating that she will soon be hearing the pitter-patter of little happy feet of her own. And evidently, she's not keeping the pregnancy a secret. Here's more:
The Aussie, who wed country singer Keith Urban six months ago, proudly showed off her bump this weekend. She is expected to make an official announcement shortly.
A source said: "Miss Kidman certainly isn't hiding the changes in her body now and seems to be very comfortable with them. Any woman seeing her now up close can't help but notice she is a mum-to-be."
Nicole has been staying at the Dorchester Hotel in London while filming Philip Pullman's The Golden Compass at Shepperton Studios.
The insider said: "She has been staying there on and off for a while. When she was first there a few weeks ago, she was more active in terms of exercise.
"This time, though, she is taking it easy and just has gentler treatments more in keeping with her new condition."
Didn't we just write about this three weeks ago when she told Keith the good news while visiting him in rehab. I don't really see any bumps here. She still looks pretty thin to us! I guess it's hard to tell since she's wearing all black. But we have heard these rumors about Nicole being pregnant every other month for over a year now so it's hard to believe.
