Yesterday Lupus L.A. presented the 6th annual "Hollywood Bag Ladies" Lupus Luncheon. Nicky and Kathy Hilton, Sharon Stone, Vanna White, and Linda Cardellini from Brokeback Mountain were all at the event. The women were all treated to lunch and bid in a silent auction for gently used handbags donated by celebrities and designers. Last year the event raised over $200,000 for Lupus Research. If only all expensive handbags purchased were for such a good cause. We're also curious to what a conversation between Sharon Stone and Nicky Hilton would have sounded like.

By the looks of these super stylish pictures of Posh in the November issue of Harper's Bazaar, you would think that she would spare no expense when it comes to fashion. But actually, she says she more than often holds herself back when it comes to shopping. In her new style bible, that extra half an inch, she says:
"Despite what people may think, I don't just walk into a shop and say: 'I want that one in every colour!...When I see something I like - especially if it is expensive - I ask the shop to put it on hold while I go away and think about it. You'd be surprised how often the desire fades when you leave the shop.

Check out Hilary Duff sporting a new look with John Cusack on the set of their new futuristic film, Brand Hauser: Stuff Happens (previously titled War, Inc.). In the film that was written and produced by him, Cusack plays a hit man who is hired to kill a Middle Eastern oil minister. His cover is acting as a wedding planner for a local pop star. We're guessing that Hil is that pop star. Guess this role isn't a huge stretch for her.

Jennifer Love Hewitt hit Robertson Blvd once again for day of shopping. She sure loves it there. I am not loving her summery unflattering dress with slumpy sweater look. I bet she is comfortable but with that cute body of hers she should flatter herself a little more. As for her cute boyfriend, well he's clearly her best accessory.

Jessica and Ashlee play super nice in the November 6th issue of OK magazine. The girls talk about sibling rivalry, plastic surgery, and of course, boys. The duo want to make it clear that there is no sibling rivalry here. Jessica even addresses why she stormed out of a party for Ashlee in London and it wasn't because she was jealous of her little sis. As for Ashlee, well she is still addressing those plastic surgery rumors. Here's highlights:
When questioned about why she abruptly left the party Jessica says:
It could have been because reporters had been asking me personal questions that I didn't feel comfortable answering. I think my dad was saying, "She doesn't want to comment because she doesn't want people to feel sorry for her." I wasn't storming out because I was sad. I was so happy for [Ashlee].
And when asked to address the plastic surgery rumors, Ashlee says:
You have to laugh at it because people make up the goofiest things. You have to go, "What are they talking about? I'm getting my teeth done?" Where are these people coming up with this stuff? My boobs? My boobs are beautiful! I'm not getting them done. I'm 22, they're up and they're high. C'mon!
Ashlee should be proud of her young breasts, but let's remember she said she was happy with all her God given gifts and then went and got a nose job. Anyway, it's obvious that the sisters are taking things into their own hands. I wonder if Jess is playing publicist for the both of them. She really seems to have it down. Kate Winslet is one of the classier actresses out there these days. She is also one of the few not starving herself for roles even when she always seems to have sex scenes. She admits she hates them. Kate said, “When you get up in the morning and you know you are going to have to go to work and take your clothes off it’s the worst day of your life. You feel awful. You feel sick. And you remind yourself you must never agree to do this again.” However, Kate admits that sometimes the roles are too good to turn down just because she has to go nude. Here's more:
"Before I read the script I didn't want to do any more sex scenes," Kate told me. "Every time I do a nude scene, I think 'That's it now!' because it's so painful and scary, and I think: 'Why does it keep happening to me?'"
Then she laughed and added, in explanation: "I've had two children, I'm 31 and I can't keep getting away with this - then I find myself doing it all over again and I don't know why.
"But it comes down to being given these incredible opportunities to play these inspiring, challenging roles that just so happen to involve getting your kit off!"
