Are these two really fighting or is it just another press ploy for us all to get suckered into? Check out the cameras as they harass both Paris and Nicole while it seems like they are on the phone with one another. They also have a few laughs at Ms Lohan's expense. In the end, Paris will wish her old BFF a Happy Birthday. Hmmm, makes you wonder.
Heroes, which premieres tonight at 10/9c on NBC, tells the story of seven different people from all over the world who each discover that they possess super hero-like powers. Sound like X-Men? Well it should. It's pretty much a total rip-off but we still really enjoyed the pilot episode and it seems like this could be one of the most promising new shows of the season.
The cast includes Hayden Panettiere who was better known as Paris' protege. Luck for her, she stopped hanging with Paris and became one of the lead characters in this soon to be hit show. Hayden is Claire, the cheerleader from Odessa, Texas who can throw herself off bridges and walk in to burning buildings without suffering a scratch. Then there is Hiro Nakamura, a “nobody” working in a cubicle jungle in Tokyo who discovers that he can teleport himself anywhere in the world using the power of his mind. Niki (Ali Larter, Legally Blonde), a stripper in Las Vegas, can't shake the feeling that someone is watching her. Peter, a nurse who has always lived in the shadow of his older brother discovers he can fly. Too bad his brother Nathan can too. And finally there is Isaac, a morphine addict who discovers he can predict the future through his paintings. The first episode sets up the premise of the show, but it seems the remainder of the season they will work together. Stay tuned to this one for sure.
Leonardo DiCaprio could be one of the smartest male superstars out there today. After his huge success in Titanic, the actor did not run out and do a ton of follow-up blockbusters or roles just to make money. He went into hiding before taking roles he really wanted with A-list directors. He has also made sure to stay out of the press as much as possible. As a result, Leo successfully made the transition from child actor in Growing Pains to Oscar nominated actor. This is why he is also number 9 on Details Most Powerful Men. Here's more:
Don’t look now, but Leo’s most clichéd line is starting to sound prophetic. Nine years after starring in the most successful film ever, he is indeed poised to be “king of the world.” And his rise is proof of the power of saying no. Since Titanic, DiCaprio has steadfastly refused work for work’s sake, making only six films yet remaining one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actors. He’s grown into an intense, brooding force, Scorsese’s new De Niro (this month’s gritty cop drama The Departed marks DiCaprio’s third film with the director). “The transition between young man and leading man is a hard one, and he did it triumphantly,” says Ed Zwick, who directed him in the thriller The Blood Diamond, out this December. Now DiCaprio and his Appian Way Productions are going on a literary bender: Kurt Vonnegut’s dystopian classic Cat’s Cradle, Malcolm Gladwell’s best seller Blink, Robert Ludlum’s The Chancellor Manuscript, and the Pulitzer-winning The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt. “His instincts as a producer are as solid and exciting as the choices he makes as an actor,” says Jeff Robinov, head of production at Warner Bros. The latest buzz also has DiCaprio playing the acid-testing guru Timothy Leary in a biopic, a fitting follow-up to his first starring turn, as a strung-out Jim Carroll in The Basketball Diaries. Coming full circle to realize his early promise? One more prophecy Leo is fulfilling.
Drew has committed to "He Loves Me" which is actually NOT a romantic comedy. The actress will also produce the film that is a thriller written by Ted Tally, best known for "The Silence of the Lambs." Apparently the film is a "taught, sexy thriller about contemporary infidelity, which strongly questions the proposition that what you don't know won't hurt you."

Christina talks about her acting aspirations in the October issue of Jane. She explains she doesn't want to do the reality TV thing or a character that is playing herself. She wants something challenging. Christina's career is flying high so we bet she is getting offered roles. Let's hope if she does try to make the transition that it is better than Crossroads or Glitter. Here's more:
Christina Aguilera has some advice for fans: "Never believe everything you read or see or hear." The singer shared that pearl of wisdom in Jane magazine's October issue, on newsstands Tuesday — and added, "Which I'm sure you are not going to want to print." They did print it, along with Aguilera's thoughts on documenting her life with Jordan Bratman for television: "My marriage is sacred to me, and I feel that they would exploit it." But while reality TV doesn't appeal to the singer, acting does. "I'm going to read scripts while I'm on the road working this record," she said. "I think so many people who start off as musicians and cross over just end up playing themselves. To me, that's not a challenge whatsoever. I want to quote-unquote act."
