The Beckhams and Cruises are new BFFs, so it's appropriate to hear that Katie is the front runner to play Victoria in a movie about David's life. We personally don't see the resemblance. Yes, they both have dark hair and wear big glasses, but Katie is tall and Posh has a size 23" waist and looks like she is about to break. Also don't expect to see Tom play the role of David. Insiders say they don't look enough alike. Makes sense. Here's more:

Here we go again... Pimp Daddy Simpson is using his girls to make more money for himself. The latest is that he wants to make Jessica's Daisy Dukes into a restaurant chain. His plan is to open a restaurant similar to Hooters at Caesars Palace in Vegas. A source tells L&S magazine, “Joe’s going to make a lot of money from this, and he didn’t even ask Jessica!” We're surprised he didn't go for Double D's. We know how much he likes to talk about those.

Gwyneth had a very busy day yesterday when she unveiled "Pleasures by Gwyneth Paltrow" at Saks Fifth Avenue, attended the Aerin Lauder garden luncheon and finished her night off at the 13th annual Premiere Women in Hollywood party. It was almost a year ago when she first plugged Pleasures and she was hiding her pregnancy. This time she is showing off her hot new post pregnancy body at each event and was looking lovely. Gwyneth was certainly serious when she said she was ready to get back to work after having Moses 5 months ago.

Yesterday we wrote about Kate getting it on with Pete while he was in rehab. We didn't care so much about the frisky lovers but now that we see that her daughter was supposedly there for the visit we are more concerned. If Kate insists on being with Pete then let's hope he has the same comeback she had post rehab. The model turned designer has never been hotter.

I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical about Shark, which premieres tonight at 10/9c on CBS. I mean, how many legal dramas do we really need, right? This one, however, is different. First of all, it's directed by Spike Lee and stars television and movie veteran James Woods. The show centers around hot shot defense attorney Sebastian Stark (aka "The Shark") who is suddenly humbled when he gets a client acquitted of domestic violence who then kills his wife six days later. Unable to continue to represent violent criminals, the Shark switches sides and becomes a prosecutor in charge of teaching young Assistant DAs how to win against other Sharks like himself. On a personal level, Sebastian is granted custody of his 16 year old daughter who it seems will likely be taking care of him rather than the other way around. Other notable cast members include Jeri Ryan (The OC, Boston Public) as the District Attorney who is less than thrilled to be all of the sudden playing on the same team as her former nemesis. The first episode definitely peaked my interest so I will be tuning in to see what happens next.
As much as we love watching MM surf and play in the sand, we think it's about time for him to hang up his surfboard and shave that summer time beard. Doesn't he know summer is over? Is he in need of a job or something?
