IS CBS telling Katie Couric to lose some weight? They seriously photoshopped about 20 lbs off the news anchor for her new promo ads. The original picture was taken at the May upfronts and the image on the right is updated thanks to the help of Photoshop. Apparently Katie did not know they were retouching her photo but she joked about it when she saw the latest version of herself. She said she liked the original one better and that, "There's more of me to love." Oh CBS, let's hope the news you bring is more realistic.

Gwen and Gavin have purchased a new home! The Beverly Hills crib was where Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony had their surprise wedding in June 2004. While they may be expanding their home, Gwen is shedding her baby weight. US Weekly reports:
The couple, which added a baby son, Kingston, to the clan in May, purchased their new pad from Sam Nazarian, a hospitality mogul and CEO of SBE Entertainment, Nazarian’s rep confirms to US. He put the house on the block in April with an asking price of $15 million.
The seven-bathroom, 10,000 square-foot house spans two acres and features an infinity pool, tennis court, and movie projection room.

Let the LL sober stories begin. Someone is clearly trying to inform us that Lindsay is not the same underage drinking party girl she has been in the past. We call it image damage control, but her skipping out on the VMAs is a sign that she may not care as much to be at every party. Here she is with Harry leaving Rachel Zoe's birthday at Social nightclub. Page Six reports more on LL's new sober nights:
BILLION-heir Harry Morton is trying his best to save Lindsay Lohan from herself - and it looks like he's doing a good job. "Harry has told her not to drink so much and is trying to calm her down," said our spy. Lohan was scheduled to hit town for the MTV Video Music Awards festivities this week, but called friends at the last minute and told them, "I don't need to be there." Our insider added, "Harry told her not to go." Morton is also trying to get Lohan to calm down by buying her a dog. Not that Lohan isn't going out in L.A. - she's just always supervised by either Morton, who doesn't drink or do drugs, or her new best friend, Samantha Ronson, who is also sober. Lohan is also taking up Ronson's hobby of deejaying. She hopped behind the DJ booth at Entertainment Weekly's pre-Emmy party on Saturday night at Republic and re mained sober throughout the night. "She tried to order a drink, but they carded her . . . she was the last to leave the party," said our source. Lohan's rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, declined to comment.

Beyonce's father is speaking out about the recent rumors surrounding her B-Day album. She supposedly made the record really quickly without her father's help. Then after backlash from fans for her first singles and music videos, word is her father stepped in to take over and redo what he could to make the album a success. However, Matthew Knowles says this is all untrue, and he thinks there is some conspiracy theory now against the success of B's latest album. He said,
'It is apparent that there is a consistent plan by some to create chaos around Beyoncé's 'B-Day' album release. Now to add to all the ridiculous rumors, is my plan to postpone the release of the album. What will be next? Beyoncé's cut off all her hair? Dyed it green? Maybe she's singing the songs in reverse with some hidden subliminal message!'
