Christina stopped by TRL yesterday and also had a special on MTV to promote her new album Back to Basics. Christina is looking like a real star all glammed up as the lady in red. She is clearly setting new trends. Christina is joining the list to perform at the VMAs on August 31st, where she is also nominated for video of the year plus 3 other awards. Sounds like it will be a spectacular event with Beyonce and JT also performing that evening. All three of them love to put on a show. We can't wait!

Paris was all over South Beach yesterday celebrating her new album, which hits stores August 22nd. She first stopped at Spec's for the record signing, and then moved on to Suite to party with Nicky and best friends Brandon Davis and Scott Storch. Why does Scott have to dress like a pimp? This guy is psyched Paris is going to make him a household name. On top of all the Paris press he is now getting Christina press coincidentally when both these girls have albums dropping. The Gatecrasher reports:

Storch worked on Aguilera's last album, but says he dropped out of her "Back to Basics" CD because, among other things, she wouldn't send a private plane to collect him.

On her new track, the evocatively named "F.U.S.S.," Christina sings: "I thought I knew who you were, I see now you were a lesson to learn." And then: "This song is for you to remind you / that I moved on ... looks like I didn't need you."

Storch bristles in response: "It's pretty pathetic that she would do a song like this." The producer told In Touch magazine: "I worked on half of her last CD and sold her millions of copies. Obviously, she cares more than I do that I didn't do this album. "But I can't blame her, with an album full of fillers, oversinging and lame Vegas-like cabaret music." Storch adds: "You should fire your management for letting me slip through your fingers."

On a sad note, look at how these little girls look up to Paris. Oh man are we worried about the youth of America. Are they going to be bopping up and down singing the lyrics to Screwed? Say it isn't so.

Nicole strikes back! When a nasty paparazzo yelled at her to eat, she stood up for herself and then called US Weekly to tell the tale. The only thing she is sick about is being told to eat. Of course the pictures in Star this week tell a different story. Here's more from US:

On the afternoon of August 12, Nicole Richie finally reached her boiling point. As the actress and a friend exited the Planet Blue boutique in Malibu, California, a photographer yelled out to her, “Nicole, you look disgusting. Gain some f—cking weight!” A little while later, a shaken Richie walked right up to the photographer’s window and, in tears, verbally confronted him. Richie talked to Us’s Ken Baker about what made her snap, how she’s taking control of her life and her hopes for a healthy and successful future.

“You don’t scream at people that they are overweight, so what makes people think that they have the right to scream at me that I am underweight? It’s upsetting and mean,” Nicole tells Us. “I am not anorexic. At the moment, I was just sick of everyone constantly bothering me about how I look. I walked up to the photographer and told him, ‘What if I really had anorexia? What if I had a disease? How would you feel about saying such horrible things?’ He probably just wanted to get a rise out of me, but I’m a human being and he hurt my feelings.”

We were shocked when the news of Kate and Chris splitting came out earlier this week and now we all want answers. US is breaking the Owen factor and while we bet there will be denials later today from reps, we know in Hollywood many marriages end due to co-workers. Kate and Owen did seem to be having a blast while promoting their movie and they would look cute together but who knows what to believe right now. Stay tuned. Here's more from US:

On August 14, Kate Hudson announced that she was separating from Chris Robinson, her husband of five and a half years. And though the actress, 27, and the Black Crowes singer (who have a son, Ryder, 2), were rumored to have been on the outs all summer – she never visited him during his current U.S. tour – multiple sources confirm to Us that Hudson’s burgeoning relationship with actor Owen Wilson was the main catalyst for the split.

(A rep for Hudson had no comment. A lawyer for Wilson tells Us in a statement, “[Anything] that suggests that the separation of Ms. Hudson was caused by Mr. Wilson…is absolutely false.”)

Meanwhile, sources tell Us that Hudson has spent several nights at her You, Me and Dupree costar’s Santa Monica, California, pad in the last few weeks. “This is not a fling,” says a source close to the couple. “Kate is crazy about him. Owen gives her so much attention, and she loves it. [That’s why] she wants her marriage to be over.”

Three days before the split, a Wilson source told Us, “Owen is not-so-secretly hoping she will leave Chris so they wouldn’t have to hide. He is falling for her.”

Summer ain't over yet! It's time for one more guilty pleasure before the real season of TV begins. Tonight Laguna Beach is back. An all new season with a whole new cast of kids or the rich and beautiful brats, including LC's little sister Breanna. Check out the video for Beyonce's latest video, Ring the Alarm video. Her fans were disappointed with Deja Vu so I wonder what they'll think of this one. Beyonce is definitely changing her tone for this album. She seems angry about something, especially in this video. I hate the Basic Instinct reference and overall it's pretty confusing like Deja Vu was, but it's still entertaining.
