Katharine McPhee sure looked healthy this past weekend in Laguna Beach with her boyfriend Nick Cokas. However now she is skipping out on her Idol Tour due to bronchitis and laryngitis. She missed last night and will miss tonight's performance at Manchester's Verizon Wireless Arena.

People report:

Her doctor, Sean Nassari, ordered "total voice rest," the Associated Press reports.

In a statement, McPhee, 22, said that, while she was disappointed not to perform, "I need to follow my doctor's orders to recuperate and reunite with the rest of the idols."

Adding that her doctor had told her she needed to remain silent, she said, "That's the most difficult part, not talking!"

Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Brad Garrett announced the 58th annual Primetime Emmy award nominations this morning and the big talk is all about how the Desperate Housewives and Lost were left out of the best series nominations. In fact, the only housewife to get a nom was Alfre Woodard. As for those who were Academy favorites this year, 24 got 12 noms, Grey's Anatomy got 11 and Will & Grace received 10. Also kudos to Lisa Kudrow for being nominated for The Comeback. Maybe now HBO will realize that was a show they should have held on to.

The Scoop is reporting that Heather Locklear is removing her Richie tattoo and supposedly replacing it with a Finch one. Finch was Spade's character from “Just Shoot Me.” Somehow I doubt that they are so in love that she is ready to make another permanent marking on her body. Especially since they are not even really going public yet based on the amount of space between them as they left Maestro Restaurant in Beverly Hills last night.

Rumors spread like wild fire thanks to the wonderful world of the Internet. As for the latest ongoing rumor - I am not buying it. Life & Style is reporting that Jen and Vince are engaged and getting married very soon. They said Courteney Cox is the maid of honor and the wedding will take place in Chicago. What makes this story BS? It starts off by saying that Brad's mom is invited.

We have already reported on the pregnancy rumors and their supposed engagement when we caught Jen wearing a new rock. However, TMZ is saying that they are not engaged. There is no doubt that something is going on and the tabloids usually are the first to know but as much as I want it all to be true, I'll believe it when it's more official... until then it's all rumor.

LINDSAY Lohan's 20th birthday bash in Malibu almost spoiled a field day for Smashbox Cares, a charity that teaches autistic kids surfing. When the shuttle bus full of youngsters pulled up to the designated drop-off at Carbon Beach on Monday, it was blocked by Lohan's car. She had parked on Pacific Coast Highway in front of the Polaroid Beach House, where she spent the night after her birthday on Sunday, having misplaced her car keys. So the kids had to be dropped off farther up the busy road. But she made up for it by playing a three-hour deejay set - in a bikini - for the kids and pals like Jeremy Piven, Matthew Perry, Shannon Elizabeth and Woody Harrelson.

Why on earth have we not seen Suri Cruise yet? We are actually starting to get worried. We hope that Suri is a happy and healthy baby. From the amount of press Tom wanted surrounding the birth of the baby you would think we would have seen something by now - even if they were pretend walking her in a stroller or something.
